Terrible!!!! I am waiting for my package as we speak, the driver left a note and said he would return tomorrow at 2. Well he came at 9:30 in the morning, did not knock and left. I made it to my home at 1 hoping to beat the UPS man, but much to my surprise he had already came. I call customer service and the rep has the nerve to tell me I can go pick it up when the driver has made it back to the warehouse. R U SERIOUS!!!! If I schedule my day to leave another damn state just to make it back to my house to meet UPS at the time they stated they would be there. I am highly disappointed! I am not satisfied at all!

Horrible – I joined just so I could review this. I was another person who was at my apartment and the driver never rang my doorbell. I double checked the time that they 'missed' me and I was right next to the door bell at that time so there was no way that I didn't hear it. I called in to complain and the people on the phone were pretty nice, but they really couldn't do anything about it. I now have to wait over the whole weekend for my 2 day shipping, now making it 5 days. I tried to get it shipped to the store right by my house but they only gave me the option of Jefferson because of the weight, which is really far away from my house. Extremely disappointed.

My working experience @ UPS – I've Been working with UPS for 10 months now in Chicago on 1500 Jefferson St. the people I work with is cool, but it's just most of the supervisors there are not. they have no compassion for your personal needs, for Example, I was at work one morning starting from 4am, I asked one of the bosses there may I take off at 7:30am because my wife started a new job and she needed my car and had to be there at a certain time. so he asked me a smart-ass rhetorical ass question like -"YOU NEED A JOB RIGHT??" I'm thinking like... Yeah, So does my wife? I mean what was the big deal? they always give me 3-4 hrs. a day anyways. So now when I do my hours and ready to go he wants to threaten my Job? that's a bunch of BS. If they start people at a earlier time maby they wont be soo backed up. while they up here trying to be shady with our hours. and another thing, every time THEY keep stopping the belts and we're still moving packages they look at us like we're the ones slow, then they expect YOU to hurry up and work harder and faster. they got life F%$k'd up. seriously.

312-942-7550 talk to a real customer service rep locally – Ok, so I have been waiting 12 hours for my delivery and it is still not here. Finally I found this number to call and inquire about my guaranteed delivery for today, only to find out that my package never made it on the truck and the driver was back at the station getting ready to go home. No explanation could be found as to why my package did not make it on the truck, as it had been scanned for delivery. But I spoke to a very helpful woman who said she would check into it and call me back. So far no call back, and no word on when package will be delivered. Trying not to get to frustrated, but to be honest, UPS sucks!

Wasn't bad at all... – I had a missed delivery, even though I was home waiting all day for the UPS truck to appear. There was a note on my door that they would attempt to deliver the package again the next day. I called UPS to see if I could pick up the package instead. They told me to come down to the Jefferson location between 7:30 pm and 9 pm. I was preparing myself for the worst after reading these reviews. When I arrived, they told me that the driver was not back yet from his route. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff here was not only polite, but went so far as to call me on my cell when the driver made it back from his route and brought my package to their office. I was in and out in a flash. I have no complaints whatsoever.

never ring my door bell either!!! – same here like other reviewers. I was home the whole time but the bastard never even attempt to ring the door bell. called up center and was told if need to redeliver, need to pay shipping fee $6 over phone $5 online or pick up at center. :(( mad!!! they need to do something about this!!!!!

RUDE INCOMPETENT LIARS – Like the other posters, I was at home even saw the truck out the window just WAITING for my package. This jerk DIDN'T EVEN RING ME TO TRY TO DELIVER IT. When I didn't get the call about the package I tracked it online to read the lie that he had tried to deliver it. Called 800# to complain and a RUDE woman called me right back saying driver not in area but she would call me back. She NEVER did. I will not order anything if it will be shipped with UPS. The Dobson office used to deliver to me, now this INCOMPETENT 1500 S. Jefferson place covers my zip code. What a loss.

WORST EVER – Waited all day for the driver and only to find out from my roommate who comes home from work to tell me that there was as UPS notice on the door.

THE DRIVER DID NOT RING THE DOORBELL!

Ordered using 2-day shipping for a gift to be delivered Friday for a wedding on Saturday. Now they tell me I have to drive to the South Side to pick it up? This will take me over an hour to do on a Friday and WHY DID I PAY FOR SHIPPING?!?!?

UPS has become JOKE and the woman who called from this location to tell me that the driver couldn't come back out was obnoxious, rude, and misused two different words.

Terrible experience, I hope you never miss a delivery from this particular location.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE – This place is so horrible! I live on the north side and it takes me almost two hours just to get there on the CTA, and then it usually takes them 45 minutes to an hour to get to you. They also have the WORST customer service, and I had the audacity to complain and got a phone call from the supervisor or someone who spent about ten minutes yelling at me over the phone for something that was SO not my fault.... It sucks that this is the only place in the city to pick up packages.

worst ever service located in the ghetto – tiny, crowded room full of particularly dirty people. the stench was abominable, and powerful. wait time of 15 minutes. ups called me on my cell, and lied to me that the package is there. the liar woman's name is linda burke (sp?), from ups security. she also told me the center was open till 7 pm (it closes at 6). i went there, experienced the stink, and was told "we do not know where your package is, but it is not here".
