I ate at Buca di Beppo for a friends birthday. We shopped at the nearby stores and rode on the Duquene Incline. Me and 5 others sat in the table in the kitchen while we had 17 family members seated upstairs. We got the large pasta and meetballs and cheesy garlic bread and that was more than enough to feed the 6 of us. The total was VERY reasonable. The overall expierence was great and I would recomend it to a friend.
Buca ROCKS! – I have eaten a few times at the Station Square location. I love the crazy ambiance of the place. I know that the waitstaff is putting on a big act, but the loud introductions to every employee and the tour of the restaurant is fun. It is a great place to bring friends and kids and family...the more cacaphony, the better. The food is very good, family style, though they now offer a 2 person menu. The Veal Marsala was quite good, as was the mountain of garlic mashed potatoes. You can eat in the kitchen and interact with the cooks--they will talk to you. The decor is profoundly kitschy---just a lot of fun. The only drawback about the Station Square location is the PAY PARKING! I guess I will try the Robinson location next time. Definitely check out Buca--it is an outrageous dining experience!
