NEVER EVER AGAIN! THE WORST IMAGINABLE SERVICE and MANAGEMENT AND STAFF ATTITIDE! – OK, so we have been dining at this restaurant about 5 times. EVERY TIME!!!! we had a problem with the service! Unfortunately, we are stupid enough to keep going back because of great food. This is really a very sad situation - the food really is amazing, but the service is the worst! The waiters are extremely rude, and the manager is even worse! Discusting nasty person who yells at customers and has no understanding what the person in his postition should be like. This Saturday we went again and I swear it will be the last time! I guess the only way you can go there if you will be ready to pay a hefty bill (and a 18% service charge that is already built in the bill) and to take sh--t from the staff. Noone says hello, gooobuy, or thank you and G-d forbid you have a priblem, the manager will come and yell at you ! This Saturday the situation was so ridiculous that we had actually laughed about it. But hten had a $500 bill with the $70 service charge in there already. WHy would anyone try in this case? They are getting paid anyway! Bottom line, if taste is more important to you then service, go ahead and visit them. However, after the treatment they provide, the food doesn't really taste good to me - its that sour taste in my mouth that the manager leaves.

Great food, Great service... but avoid the weekend dinner crowds when service suffers – Indeed the reviews stating lack of service are correct. However, that is a weekend phenomenon. If you can, go during the week, the wait staff is excellent when not under the overwhelming weekend pressures. East Pacific is mobbed at dinner time on the weekend. Also, they have a very nice lunch special which is a great way to get acquainted with their menu, and the service at lunch is always fine. Raymond, the manager is friendly and efficient, and should you ever have a problem with wait staff, he will certainly want to know!

I have never been disappointed by the food's quality, presentation or taste. They always use the freshest ingredients and the food is wonderfully prepared and beautifully served.

I have a rule never to eat sushi at a Chinese restaurant, only at a restaurant where sushi is the main product. However, I break this rule at East Pacific. Like their kitchen fare, the sushi consists of only the finest ingredients skillfully prepared.

And the kitchen fair! Nouvelle Cantonese, Indonesian and Japanese with flair! Unlike some restaurants that throw an updated spin on old traditionals, East Pacific never loses sight of the original dishes, just kicks them up with a bit of a modern presentation and sides. Really wonderfully done.

Don't pass this gem up!

Great sushi : Lousy service – They have the best sushi on staten island. It's fresh and delicious. I order the $85 Sushi Love Boat, all the time. It's well worth it. Although, i find the rest of the dishes mediocre. Especially, the seafood casserole it just seemed and tasted like regular asian take out. However, the last time i went i was dissatisfied with the service. He was unattentive, Barely could speak english and rude. We left him a tip of a mere $10 because his services were awful and even so, he had the audacity to not say thank you. He seemed offended at the tip we left him but he was a horrible waiter! Overall, I will not be returning.

Never disapointed – This is the Best Restrant on SI..

For exllent service ask for ANDY. The sushi is always fresh.. The Lechi Duck WOW. I never order lamb chops in a restrant because no one can cook them like me.. At last.. you have to try there lamb chops there the best.

Everything on there menu is cooked to perfection. All the food is fresh.. Although U can't get substutions.

pacific east – I found this place to be one of my favorite weekly restaurants to eat at. Being that I am there so often, I have had the oppurtunity to try practically the whole menu, and everything that I have tried has been excellent. The service is above average and the food is quickly brought out to you. The manager is quite friendly . All in all this is one of the best places I have eatten in awhile.

nice atmosphere (for SI) terrible servic – the atmosphere is very nice, and a welcome escape from the rest of the SI mall.

However, the food and service and dramatically lacking. The sushi is cut in blocks bigger than my cell phone. We requested they re-slice the sushi, and it was returned to us in small cheese-like cubes.

The wait staff was loud and inconsiderate. While moving tables together nearby, instead of actually lifting the tables to place them together (the tables are not too heavy), the staff dragged the tables across the floor making a terrible and load skreeching noise that was heard throughout the dining room.
