Tips for North
Best bar for grown folks!. It's nice to go to a bar and not be the oldest (at 35) by 10 years! It's a cool atmosphere, good drinks and great old-school tunes, plus a crowd of grown folks no younger than their late 20s! It's about TIME!

Slate floors, rich brown decor and tiny constellations of lights are classy touches that inspire the purchase of pricey chocolate and apple martinis. Visit on a weekend and you'll find those drinks in the hands of 20- to 40-somethings, relaxing to the strains of old-school hip-hop and classic rock coming from the DJ booth. And even though sneakers are not allowed, servers sport Puma gear--the clothing company is an official sponsor.
It's About Time.... I found a reason to return to South St. The music was great as well as the drinks. I couldn't figure out which was more exciting - all of the hot South Philly girls in the place or the root beer on tap!! It was like an Olde City lounge, albeit smaller, but with people you could actually talk to. The drinks were affordable and strong and the staff is fun to talk to. Can't wait to go back..........
Head North !. I spent last New Years Eve at this swanky, cool lounge and had a blast. This little jewel on South st., has everything: a friendly staff, great atmosphere and great music. Whenever in Philly, it's the first place I go.
Old Man. The music is perfect, volume and content. The scene is much better than expected.
The Place to Be. Whether you're out with the guys or looking for a romantic place to take a date, North has it all. With friendly, helpful staff providing great service, great food, and featuring some of the best DJ's in town, you can't go wrong. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. If you have, you know what I'm talking about.
North Is Where Its At. I just love going to North for intimate evenings with a girl in the lounge or gettin wild with some friends on the weekend. Plus all of my girlfriends that I bring there just love it and they think that the bartender Chris is really hot. That just makes there time there that much more enjoyable. The service if first rate and the bartenders are right on. Tuesdays are jam packed with crazy college students looking to release some mid semester stress. Fridays and Saturdays provide South Street with a taste of the ever trendy busy streets of Olde City. Drinks are affordable and there is no cover. The crowd is young professional and everyone is dressed to impress. North is definitly Philly's new up and coming night spots!
