GREAT NEWS .OUT OF BUSINESS – you don;t have to worry about being treated with bad service or bad food. This place is out of Business. It was a phony wanna be Sports Bar. No one ever heard of American Football. They were from South Amreica or some other place. they had no idea who Dan Marino was. They had a lot of nerve using Dan Marino's name. Now they are gone. proabably Bankrupt.
BAD SERVICE AND PHONY BAD WANNA BE TGIF – DO NOT VISIT THIS WANNA BE TGIF. BAR SERVICE TERRIBLE. THERE WERE LESBIANS AT THE BAR MAKING OUT IN FRONT OF FAMILES. DAN MARINO SHOULD REMOVE HIS NAME FROM THIS PHONY PLACE. WHAT A TOTAL DISGRACE/. THEY DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA WHAT AMERICAN FOOD IS. MAYBE MEXICAN ,CHEAP FOOD. OVERPRICED.
Great food and sevice – I've been to Marino's on several occassions and have never been disappointed. The best item on the menu is the nut crusted Mahi Mahi. I would HIGHLY recommend it. I've had a good burger, a great asian salad, and a few other items and appetizers. Like I said before, I've yet to be disappointed. My favorite after dinner treat is the almond brittle basket. A sure winner if you are a fan of sorbet, fruits, and almond brittle. Oh, and how could I forget the HOF martini. How can you go wrong with Grey Goose and blue cheese stuffed olives??
Quality has left the house? – I've been 4 times to Marino's restaurant and my last experience was not to pleasant. I will point out some basic things that went wrong:
- Hostess was rude and bored
- We sat near the kitchen and the smell of old oil was terrible. I had a look at the kitchen and the floor was dirty
- Waiter that deliver my burger almost threw it and made my butter knife fall on my lap. The burger was ok.
- My wife ordered the beef tips and she felt sick all night with nausea and heartburn... oily food? not fresh?
Food should be about fresh ingredients prepared in a simple way and served with hospitality. Dan's place failed on delivering such. I don't know if i would go again... sorry Dan... ur still the man...
Service was great – We visited Dan Marinos on 11-22-08. We were in town for the Patriot/Miami game. I have been wanting to go for many years to visit his restaurant and this was my first time that I could go. The service was great and the restaurant looked wonderful. But when receiving the food it was not up to the expectations that were advertised. We were as a group very disappointed.
Don't pass up the legendary quarterback's collection of comfort foods at this cozy eatery. – In Short
Though television monitors quietly broadcast sporting events and football paraphernalia abounds, this is no ordinary sports bar, even beyond the cute football-shaped rolls. Comfy elevated booths and classy modern tables face an open kitchen. The well-rounded menu features everything from crab cakes to beef tips. Save room for the signature Almond Basket, a far tastier treat than the name implies with fresh seasonal fruits and a berry sorbet served inside crunchy almond brittle.
Disappointing Experience! – I was so excited to go to Dan Marinos restaurant and was disappointed! The actual service was good, but the food was horrible. My husband received his so called 9ounce steak in a french fries plate and the steak looked like an appetizer. The bread we recieved was cold. The spinach dip looked like a whole bunch of grass thrown on a plate. We asked for a cheese dip for our nacho chips that came with the spinach dip and they took like 3 slices of cheddar cheese and microwaved them. I ordered the chicken gordon bleu...wow...horrible. And the garlic mash potatoes, might as well given me the potatoes for me to mash. I was so looking forward to eating here and left so disappointed. I wanted a desert, but after all that, i was afraid to order any. The only thing that looked good, which was what the people next to us ordered, was the burger. Maybe this should just be a burger place!
Excellent food, horrible service – After waiting 40 min to be seated (which we expected since it was Saturday night), we were very hungry. Our waiter was missing and was horrible. Just to order, it took 15 min. Then I had to remind him that I ordered a glass of wine as he was walking by. After we finally ordered, it took 15 -20 min before he brought us our bread. I just figured bread didn't come with our meal. Our food followed about 1 min after he brought the bread. Why even bother to bring the bread? It was like he didn't really care.
Our food was really good though. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the wine went really well with it. However, we were just overall disappointed because our service was so bad. If they get some better staff, then I'd recommend to eat there.
The Best Filet Mignon – Our son was in Miami Children's Hospital for an extended period. My husband and I, in an attempt to ease our stress with food, stopped by Dan Marino's we both ordered the Filet with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. It was unbelieveable, we still talk about this steak! I use A1 on my steaks always, but not with this steak, they put a garlic butter on top of your filets which is such a taste sensation, no A1 needed here! If you are visiting Miami, I would definately visit Dan Marino's!!
Great steaks...the filet melted in your mouth. Great Wine – My wife and I have been in several times. The service and hospitality were outstanding and the Waitress was great with our kids. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy and the music is great too. We love it on a Friday night when we can send the kids to a movie and sit outside and listen to the live music and enjoy a bottle of wine.
