Timberlyne Shopping Center - Wow! What a Wonderful Surprise and Blessing in Ethiopian Food!!! – This warm, friendly place is in the Timberlyne Shopping Center off Weaver Dairy Rd...near two movie theaters! Wow what a great date night location. Well ..upon my first visit as customer, there was a sincere welcoming. We waited a bit, and it was WORTH IT! We sat at one of the round tables that holds a large round tray, provided with bread (injera) first on bottom, then some of the most delicious smelling vegetable and meat servings I've ever sensed, was artfully placed table-side. [Wash your hands when you arrive], there was intimacy in eating Ethiopian-style with one's fingers - you can ask for silverware. We drank the hot spiced tea, a delight on a cool evening. Beer or wine is there if desired. At the end of this well prepared meal, the server recommended their Ethiopian coffee with refined butter - a tasty, delicious and creamy coffee - no after effects (rapid pulse, etc). There is soft Ethiopian music in background. I expected to pay at least $65 for THIS meal for two people- but didn't come close to it. If you'd like an authentic Ethiopian experience, this is the place. Just know that from scratch preparation does take time - plan accordingly.Enjoy! Thanks so much Queen of Sheba for being such a place we'll return to soon!

New location!! Not located on Graham Street anymore. – This restaurant closed its location on Graham Street, but is now open at the Timberlyne Shopping center at 1129 Weaver Dairy Road, just off of Martin Luther King Boulevard/Airport Road near I40. It's been doing insanely good business - every time I've looked in at lunch there is a healthy crowd - and they were packed on Friday night. The food is just as good, and I'm so glad that business is thriving in the new location.

HOME-MADE BY THE QUEEN HERSELF – THIS IS AUTHENTIC, PUNGENT, WHOLESOME ETHIOPIAN FOOD. THE OWNER COOKS ALL THE FOOD HERSELF WITH LOVING CARE. THE ATMOSPHERE IS FRIENDLY, THE SERVICE ATTENTIVE. AND THE PRICE IS MORE THAN REASONABLE. TAKE A FRIEND AND CONVERT THEM TO THIS WONDERFUL CUISINE.

Great Ethopian food - rivals DC! – Ok, admit it - you thought this place was a front, right? Well it's not. Do some research and you'll find that the owner/chef used to be at Blue Nile in Durham. So you'd think that the food was just a good, right? It's better. Park near the restaurant (there are spots in front and to the right in a gravel lot) as the neighborhood isn't the best. You'll be met inside the front door by the owner with the most gracious of smiles and will have your choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Food selections are extensive but if it's your first time trying Ethopian (or your 100th) and you're hungry - you can't go wrong with the combination (veggie or meat) platters. Try the samosa appetizer - interesting flavor and served piping hot with a spicy hummus-like sauce. It's a lot of food for a reasonble price. All is served on a platter along with injera bread (yes, you'll be eating with your hands and sharing off one plate so be prepared and wash your hands before eating). Beer is cold and the Ethopian coffee is a must-have. The food is fresh fresh fresh and overall, better quality than Blue Nile in its most recent years. Nice to have downtown in Chapel Hill - tell your friends, but not too many - the quiet of this place is pleasing.

Some of the best Ethiopean food – I knew the owner when she helped run the Blue Nile in Durham. I loved that restaurant and was very sad when it closed. However, I soon after found the Queen of Sheba's and the food was as good, if not better than the food at the Blue Nile. The woman that owns and rund the restaurant is very nice and creates a quality product.

great flavors! – i just moved here from chicago and wanted to find a ethiopian eatery like back in the city. my husband and 5 year old daughter went on a friday for dinner and i am SO SO glad we found this place. the flavors and spice were a perfect combination and the no frills atmosphere was very cozy and child friendly (not screaming child friendly, well behaved child friendly!!!). i had the vegetarian combo and my husband had the meat combo and all i can say is tasty! our server was also very helpful and had full knowledge of what he was serving us and also reminded us what items were more on the spicy side. the prices were very good and i would tell anyone who is looking for something new to try- DO THIS!!!

Great Ethiopian place – Really enjoyed the place. Service was courteous and fast, the waitress new about the food and was attentive to our needs, but not overbearing. The food was excellent. Just a really good all around experience for the price. We will definitely be back.

Enchanting Atmosphere, Incredible Food – One Saturday night looking for parking off of Franklin - we found that and a jem - Queen of Sheba's. Had always been interested in trying Ethopian Food and lucked out. This treasure included not only great food but an awesome atmosphere!
