Kusina Filipina

If you're looking to celebrate this is the place to do it. This tasty fare is presented "turo-turo" (buffet) style just like it would be for a fiesta in the Philippines. Delicious fun.

Kusina Filipina

Love. This. Place. Fresh, flavorful Filipina food is offered up plate lunch style in this bright, sunny Beacon Hill room. Friendly and attentive service and great prices make it a can't miss.

Everything is good.

Great food and even better people – We walked into this homey little restaurant one evening having absolutely no idea what Filipino cuisine was all about. There is a glass viewing window to see what goodies are in store for the diner, but the names do not necessarily lend even what protein is in each of the dishes. That is when the woman working at the front stepped in and instantly became our best friend. She gave us samples of several of the options and explained to us what each of them was. You have the option of getting one or two entrees along with rice ($5.75 and $6.50, respectively). I can only remember the name of one of the dishes I had (pork adobo), and it was amazing. My brother had the Filipino sausage (Lingossina, sp?), which for those of you have had it, it is just like the Portuguese version Linguica. It was all great food, and as we were leaving the owner arrived and spoke with us for about 10 minutes. Very nice people. Finally, as we were heading out of the door, I pointed to a dish and asked the woman what it was. She told me she would only tell me after I tried it. I am adventurous, so I said, "what the heck." I tasted it, and it was surprisingly good. Even after she told me what it was I was not sickened by it. So... I will keep your interests peaked so that you can taste it and see what you think! Enjoy!
