charges xtra for 3D, plays in 2D – Im not dumb, I wasn't high or drunk. Manager says others complained too but he watched it himself and it was in 3D.
Outright lie. Talked to me and my GF like we were expecting too much. Previews showed 3D effect just fine, there wasn't a difference wearing glasses or not. Did not offer refund.
2 tickets in 3D = $28!
NO stadium seating
Harold and Kumar in 3D 11/12/2011 7:30PM showing.
High Priced Food! – Okay, so the place is nice enough and the staff is friendly, but the price of popcorn is ridiculous!
Comfy seats but expensive and crowded – It's a convient location but that also makes it so new movies are often very crowded. And like all regal cinemas they charge way more than they should.
Avalon and McMinemin's are way better deals. Even the OMSI IMAX is about the same price if not cheaper.
Seats are nicer than most though
Pros: Seats, location
Cons: Price, crowdedness
Fandango is not your friend – This theater chain has made it impossible for you to get basic information besides just movie times. For example, I wanted to know the various admission COSTS (is there a matinee movie, for example). The 1-800 number is Fandango only, and I've been unable to figure out a way to talk with a real person. No amount of creative wordsmithing, ("help, operator, attendant, person...") netted me a real person. In fact, I was hung up on twice. So, if you don't mind ZERO customer service, spend your money at this theater chain, otherwise do the right thing and support our local 2nd run neighborhood theaters, like Laurelhurst, CinemaMagic, Bagdad, Hollywood, and others...
used to go here – and I enjoyed it. they're clean and the employees are friendly .
AND FYI, to the woman above bitching about the sneak preview and no seats left.
ITS CALLED FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
Management can't do anything about you not getting a seat. If you wanted one, you should've showed up earlier. Fox pictures rents out the movie theater from Regal Cinemas so Regal Cinemas management doesn't have anything to do with it. It's too bad you spent money on gas, you just should've showed up earlier. It says on the ticket first come first serve. I know this because I used to work there and people like you complained all the time.
lloyd center cinema and their night managment – dear portland neighbors, my family and i showed up at lloyd center on monday the 28 of july 2008 ,for the kind and generous gift from fox49 in the form of premier tickets to see mummy 3, tuesday the 29 2008. well wouldn't you know it lloyd cinema did not have enough seats for the last two families that were left behind. my husband and i and our lovely daughter and the single mother and her sons were informed that on the ticket to cover their cinema butts that they might be overbooked? this is not a airport but a movie that was awarded to a band of low-income movie lovers. well there was nothing left for me and my family but to incur the ten dollars of gas we invested in this adventure. and of course the heartache of not seeing the movie. kpdx you should be ashamed that you left anyone standing without the satisfaction of what you sent us there for.
Excellent Cafe Chick – The girl at the cafe really knows what she's doing and is really attractive-- I especially enjoyed the librarian-chic glasses.
She makes world class coffee drinks hidden in the intimate kiosk that is the Regal Cafe.
Ask her for her recommendations and she will provide you with some extensive insight on the world of espresso.
Great Theater – My boyfriend and I really enjoy going to this theater. We go to the movies about once a month and keep going back to this place. The seats are really comfy, its pretty clean and the popcorn is super yum!
