This is the second time I have called the city to complain about the noise level coming from this restaurant's cleaning crews after hours. The first time was in the fall of 2012 and it went on for two nights until nearly 2:00AM. This time in early February 2013 and the noise has been going on for nearly two hours and it is almost midnight! I called the police and the crew assured them that they would be done by 12:30AM.
This does NOT work for me... I live on the block behind the restaurant and I can hear the machinery through my bedroom window.
While I have always had good dining experiences at Tin Tin, I will never go back after this... it is ridiculous... and absolutely disrespectful to the neighborhood to keep them up at all hours when this could have been done before they opened for lunch.
Shame on you Tin Tin Buffet. You have lost a longtime family customer.
There are quite a few things wrong with this restaurant...The first thing I noticed when we were taken to our table was a foul odor coming from the drinks area which made eating hard. Another thing was that they only had one waitress attending all the table making it near impossible to receive a refill on our drinks. After going through this difficult experience eating, we discovered a cockroach in our food!! ( I have uploaded the pic of the roach so you can see) Now I'm no expert but I'm sure that if there is one cockroach there are plenty others to be back where that one came from. This place needs to be shut down until it get back up to code before someone gets seriously ill! Bottom line this was the worst experience we have ever gone through so if your looking to try new food or new restaurant SAVE your money, time, and health find yourself a different one.
We found a live bug on my son's teriyaki stick. The teriyaki stick was first on my plate until I gave it to my son. Just thinking of it makes me sick. I bit a bone in their chicken meatball before discovering the bug. This was enough reason to complain and be upset about but I decided to let it go. After we found the bug, that was it. I complained to the waitress, she saw it and she told the host. When we received our check, we were charged FULL price! Are you kidding me? I told the host that I will NOT pay full price for our plates. This rude, insensitive, snob of a host had the nerve to question me more than once and refused to believe me. She still wanted to charge me full price. She's lucky that I would EVEN pay at all! After the bug, we lost our appetite and only took a few bites. We were trying hard to enjoy the food but we couldn't because on top of losing our appetite, the food was horrible. We didn't even eat half a plate. She finally gave in and charged us half the ticket which I still feel like I shouldn't have paid at all. We had 2 incidents, the food is gross and to top it off, poor and rude service. The food was COLD and looked DIRTY. Some of their stir-fry dishes tasted like leftovers from the fridge and their porkchops tasted spoiled. I suggest going to King Buffet. The food is always hot. They always have someone checking the food and cleaning the areas. You won't get any better service at King Buffet, after all, it is a Chinese business but at least you won't find any bugs, bones or roaches in the food.
Disgusting. – My boyfriend and I went here and didn't even get chinese food. There is a lot of it, but most of it was american food. They had baby back ribs, pizza, salad, donuts. It was 30 dollars, too. Absolute rip-off. I will NEVER go here again. The chinese food that there was, was absolutely disgusting. The "chow mein" looked like it came out of a package you get at the store.
Excelent chinese food – I had a fabulous dining experience at Tin Tin Buffet. I went there for my birthday with my family. The resteraunt was very clean (there was no black mold on the ceiling), the staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. The food was fresh and they were really good at bringing out more when it was necessary. I highly recommend this resteraunt, and I hope to spend many more birthdays at Tin Tin Buffet.
best chinese buffet – Me and my family go to Tin Tin Buffet every month. It is one of the best buffets in my book. The food is always hot and they are always bringing out more. They have an exceptional variety of desserts and seafood as well as poultry and beef, they even have sushi there that tastes pretty good. The food tastes very trdiional and delicious. I defintely recomend this buffet for its cheap prices, great service, delicious food, and uniterupted eating.
Black Mold Found in food area – We went to Tin Tin for buffet and as we were eating we noticed something filtering down on to the food from the ceiling. We looked closer and noticed black mold growing through the ceiling tiles. The INSPECTION has confirmed it IS black mold. NO WAY should they even be open. No recommendation here aside from STAY AWAY
money hungry restaurant – went there for dinner, worst meal we had!!!!!!! the manager was a liar for letting us in 20 minutes before closing because as soon as we orderd our drinks tha staff slowly took food away foood from buffet.we wre there at the restaurant for 15 minutes( we thought we were eating at a dinner buffet instead we wre treated as we were in a fastfood restaurant). but we still had to pay dinner price!!!!!! they should have just that they were closing in 15 minutes rather than letting us in and saying it was ok!!!they just took our money!!!!
