Closed – Francisco's at Commellini's has been closed for the last year and a half. As of May 2009, Commellini’s has moved back in to the hands of the Seghetti Family (the original owners). It has been a long time dream of the family to rejuvenate Commellini’s to its former grandeur and restore its once rich traditions. For the past year, we have undergone construction to build on the rich and colorful history first started by Albert and Leda Commellini. The atmosphere is still the same with the knotty pine interior and elegant crystal chandeliers, but has been thoroughly updated to provide an even better experience. In regards to the food, we recognize that with past leasers the food has been somewhat lacking. However, the food is now completely different and we are reintroducing some of the original recipes created by Leda Commellini herself. Essentially, Commellini is an entirely new place and I hope those who wrote bad reviews will give it another chance. Commellini Estate reopened its doors in December 2010. For more information on the revived Commellini Estate call 509.466.0667.
Great Place! – Okay, so I have to admit that half of what we liked so much was the atmosphere. This place is straight out of the mob days. Just when you are sure that you must have made a wrong turn, you come to this fabulous secluded little place in the forest. The food was also really good, but the surrounding are incredible if you are into a themed type of supper. Not at all touristy. Very realistic.
Out of the way and not worth it – Arrived on a Tues nite. Plenty of empty tables available but I was seated in the cigarette smoke filled lounge. Ordered the Sausage, Peppers & Onions. What I received was a single sausage place on top of a bed of linguini with some peppers and onions mixed in. THIS IS NOT SAUSAGE, PEPPERS & ONIONS!!! The food presentation was okay as was the service. The food is overpriced, average to bland at best. There are plenty of other choices in town that do a much better job.
Better than the Olive Garden – I have to say that this was the best italian food I have ever ate. Coming from italy, it was hard to find 'real' italian food, but Commellini's did the trick. The meal was wonderful, and they cook everything from scratch. It's secluded, and had a wonderful atmosphere. I would, and do recommend it to everyone!!!
