I love Subway but some of the restaurants do not measure up to the standards they claim. My family & I frequent Subway on south hill on 29th. I went in their just recently 2/14 . I saw different employees. They were in the back when I walked in. I could hear them laughing, goofing off. There is never a mature manager on duty. I asked if I could mix & match the $5. sandwiches. The girl said ok & made my sandwiches. Upon ringing me up, she failed to give me the $5. price. she then said, thats because you can't mix the sandwiches. Am I on planet Earth? I could of sworn I asked her before she made the sandwiches. Maybe, I am losing my mind. None the less, I requested for her to make new sandwiches so I would not be charged full price. Well, chaos ensued, mixing up my order more than once, ringing me up full price again, by accident...all by accident. I got such a bad attitude from the girl that I honestly wanted to reach across the counter & smack some sense into her, she was so rude, rolling her eyes at me, talking crap behind the counter as if I was not there & couldn't hear. Then, she was very sloppy making my sandwiches, spilling meat that I pay for everywhere. Forgetting to toast, but again, this was all my fault. I left there so upset, I was not even hungry anymore. My kid works at a fast food & they always have a manager on duty..not a teenager. And, they are very strict with their employees always demanding top notch service. "Wendys". So, last time we wanted sandwiches, we went to the sandwich shop just up the street from Subway. OMG!!! what a big difference. I guess sometimes things happen for a reason. Their sandwiches are like man versus food sandwiches & taste soooooo much better, I can't even begin to tell you. Try them instead of Subway you wont regret it. So long subway, it's been good but I found better.
Sandwich chain offers healthy alternatives for diners on the go. – In Short
Subway's health-conscious menu is built around greaseless deli sandwiches--turkey, chicken, roast beef, etc.--made on soft rolls baked daily in-house. Customers pick white, wheat or a specialty bun, name the length, choose the toppings and watch as the sandwich moves down the assembly line. Wraps, melts, salads and chips by the bag diversify the streamlined menu. And despite the bread factor, Subway boasts numerous successful weight-loss stories and low-carb menu items.
