cute lingerie, but "cool" staff – Really cute lingerie. High quality products, but low quality service. The sales ladies are really "cool". When I asked for help, the sales lady gave me a facial expression like "I don't want to help you but I have to". I asked her to check the bra fit, she looked at me for one second, saying "too big", and never came back to me. I was the only customer she had at that time.
I came to the store on a Monday noon the other time. I was the only customer there. When I asked for a demi bra, the sales lady brought me a full cup bra of the same collection. I told her I'd like to try the demi bra, she said they were sold out and were not there anymore. I pointed at the the demi bra and told her"it 's there." Ten minutes later, I asked her to bring the full cup bra she just took away from the fitting room a few minutes ago, she said the full cup bra was sold out and they did not have it any more. I told her it's impossible because it's the one she just took away from me a few minutes ago.
However, the lingerie is really cute and of high quality.
Everyone's a Bond Girl in this sophisticated, sexy British lingerie shop. – Every day is Valentine's Day in this pink and black boutique-boudoir, where salesgirls shuffle around in stiletto feather scuffs, fishnet stockings and tight button-down housecoats. The vibe is lush and sexy, conspiratorially tarty and more than a little self-consciously kitsch: Beneath crystal chandeliers, each fitting room is provided with a satin robe so the bashful can keep shopping without getting dressed between get-ups. All the shop's delicate, sexy corsets, negligees, bras, garters and the like are designed by Joe Corré, son of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, and his wife, Serena Rees. Prices are cheaper than most luxury brands, so even the thriftiest sex kitten can get a piece of the action.
Beautifully made lingerie and Celebrity sightings – I go to AP only twice or three times a year due to their expensive lingerie but when I do go there I find the most delicate, unique, and beautiful bras and underwear. It is worth it to invest in a couple of good lingerie pieces because they really can make a difference in how you feel. Last time I was there I saw Lindsay Lohan being helped.
The staff is not pushy whatsoever, such a relief from such stores as Victorias Secret. But they will ask if you need anything and then basically leave you alone.
Fun, helpful and private – It's a cute and fun store and the clerks give you a lot of personal attention without being intrusive or pushy. They know what they are doing and the merchandise is well made and beautiful. If you are not used to clerks _really_ helping you (not just "call me if you need another size"), you might feel a little uncomfortable because they do ask to see you in the lingerie you try to to make sure it fits well and to help adjust straps or suggest other sizes or styles. This is, thankfully, a far far cry from Victoria's Secret.
sexy but.... – well, you can expect to find something sexy and you will find some but you can find a better one from other places. Also the price of things there are way to expensive compare to their quality-well, I'm a designer adn I know how things are made.
Sexy, but bored and unhelpful staff – I love this store's website and the look of their merchandise. Although I would never buy it for myself, I went to the store in SoHo for a gift for a friend who is getting married. Although I was the only client in the store, the three sales women in the store were too busy huddled around the counter being "sexy" to acknowledge my existence until I asked a question. Even then, service was rendered reluctantly. I didn't pursue it any further.
Fun and Funky – Things in this store are way out of my price range (hint: $135 bras), but the selection is so fun and creative that I go just to get a energy boost. The sales staff is also very nice, and because of their location and size it is never really that crowded. The merchandise I drool over...I really want that rhinestone collar! But, alas, I stick to the sale section- still a bit pricey but filled with great markdowns. Great to go to with your significant other or just by yourself!
