Best pizza on Southside, hands down – Palermo's has been a favorite of both my father and I for years. Whether you are dining in or picking up the pizza is always phenomenal. I mean for those who love the sweet sauce. The inside is more of a family atmosphere but a bit nicer. I have always had nothing but great servie here when eating in. Whether is be Friday night or Monday afternoon.

Not that great – We waited forever. The bartender seemed new and alone. Sever was nice but slow. This is a pizza place not fine dinning. A great place to take the kids if you have the money. There are other places that sell pizza at a better price and just as good. I don't smoke and asked for non, I was setted next to the smoking bar. I hardly had my water refilled and the waitress was too busy to notice. The bussers.. no where to be seen. Seemed like the waitress had no help. I was told to come here because my friend loves it. I guess? I have had better and will not be returning.

Amazing pizza – I've been eating here for 30 years. I've never had pizza this good, anywhere in the country. The rest of their menu is superb, but the pizza is unbeatable. However, if you don't like sweet sauce, you won't appreciate it. One problem is the size of the restaurant. We now order it to go because it's always so crowded the service can be lacking.

South Siders flock here for a taste of old-style Italian-American food, from pasta to pizza. – In Short
A local fave since 1961, this place is packed with locals and does a booming delivery and carry-out business too. The comfy interior boasts an old-fashioned decor of brick arches, food and wine posters and a smoky bar. The enormous menu covers all the Italian-American bases: grilled shrimp and calamari with roasted red peppers, baked chicken Vesuvio, enormous pasta dishes with fresh, mild tomato sauce, and thin-, regular-, or deep-dish-crust pizzas.

Palermos's is by far the best Italian Restaurant you could go to. It blows away the Italian Restaurants in downtown Chicago. The food is out of this world, the atmosphere is quaint. I highly recommend Palermo's to anyone who is looking for a romantic dinner or a family gathering.

Ahhh Que Bella...Fantastico – The Place has Valet, It has class, great martinni's. Food and service is second to none. Ower is there to greet you and to trouble shoot any problems, but none were there, all in all a great place on the south side and close to Midway airport.

Soutside Institution – Anyone from the south side will say that Palermos is the place to go for pizza. I have been going there for 20 years now and it has quality has never faultered. The secret is in the sauce. It's a perfectly sweetened, thick sauce and along with their homemade sausage, makes the tastiest pizza around. Well worth the drive....you will not be upset. Every person I know that claims to have their favorite pizza changes thier mind after tasting this wonderful pie.
