almost laughable, if it wasn't me – My first and last time to spa 64.

1. Their one and only toilet wasn't working.

2. No central air save one A/C in the waiting area. Stifling! How can you enjoy spa services when you're sweating?

3. Masseuse used excessive oil and was messy. She got oil on my leather sandals which were on the floor and made no apology when I pointed out that my shoes were ruined.

4. The manicurist clipped my cuticle so it bled a little. Then she messed up the polish, and then told me to come back the next day because our time was up and the next appointment was waiting!

ouch! – I went for a Brazillian because my old standby was on vacation. The woman who gave me the brazilian was nice, but she ripped me apart. I have a high threshold for pain, but she really wasn't that good. To top it off, when I got home, I realized it wasn't a true brazillian *wink wink* and plus i had patches of hair left over!

Oh, she was also 40 min late. And no one was there.

AWFUL – THE STAFF WAS SO RUDE. I WAITED 2 HOURS FOR MY FACIAL WHICH I NEVER GOT AND NEVER GOT AN APOLOGY OR EXPLANATION.

NEVER GO!

not soundproof – The massage rooms are made out of heavy curtains, but it doesn't block out the street sounds of the Lexington Ave (the honking, wheels skidding) and hear staff walking outside your "room". The massage itself was amazing! The massage tables were covered w/rose petals. Very romantic atmosphere, with complimentary champagne.

Amazing Facial – I went to Spa 64 for the first time and had the best facial I've ever had. And it was under $100!! Adriana gave me a seaweed facial and a wonderful face massage. Everyone was friendly, the place is very unusual and soothing and they have the best iced tea. This is an incredible new place on the Upper East Side, they are open late, and I will definitely be going back many times!
