"Went here twice - once for dinner with a bunch of friends and second time for lunch with my wife.
Both times food was very good and service was pretty fast. The place is not cheap (but what good seafood is?) but otherwise its great.
Will take Summer Shack over Legal Seafood any day."
The Summer Shack is awesome. T he bartender is great and knows what we want from the minute we sit down... we never have to ask for another beer, he just knows. The beer battered fish and chips is one of the best things on the menu and the French fries are some of the best I've ever had.
The raw bar is great and I especially like the condiments for the oysters, not just the usual gloppy ketchup and horseradish. My husband and I split a few appetizers (the daily specials are usually great) and some oysters and find it's plenty of food and the check is not bad at all. The wine list is exceptional for a place like this; the service is not.
Excellent bartender. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome really had a good time thank you for your great service.
I took a date to the bar at the Summer Shack, the bartender was very informative in explaining the oysters which were great and shucked right next to us. We shared a couple of appetizers, fried clams, tomato and mozzarella salad and tuna special. All was great and so was the ICE COLD harpoon. I have been here before with my family but this was my first time to sit at the bar and I enjoyed it.
"I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and we were very happy with our meal. It is sort of in an oddl location on the corner right next to a highway and large rotary. It was a little difficult to get to from the opposite side of the street, but once we figured it out it was easy.
We had the special Lobster that is Jasper Whites specialty. The ""pan roasted lobster"". It was great. Very heavy and rich, but so worth it. The cornbread that came with the meal was good and our desert was a toll house pie. That was worth the trip to the restaurant!!! Don’t miss that one!"
Who can deny great seafood? No one. Summer Shack has some of the freshest seafood, directly from the fisherman. I had a 1-1/4 lb. Lobster for $20 last night, and it was phenomenal. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Awesome sports bar within the restaurant, with a projector and a pool table. They have five locations within greater Boston, so go to one near you!
We like the atmosphere here. This is such a fun place to hang out and enjoy great times with friends and family. The food is awesome! I love seafood.
We had mussels for apps which were good. My bf had the fish special of the day, but was not too impressed. I had the Clambake, deterring from my favorite dish, Shack Bouillabaisse. The Clambake did not have the flavoring of the Bouillabaisse. Slight d
We went to Jasper's a few weeks ago. Our waiter was great, taking time to explain the day's catch. We ordered apps and dinner. Unfortunately, the cooks had lost our apps order. Our waiter noticed and offered complimentary desserts for the delay. While waiting for the apps, he also brought us clam chowder. Even though there was a problem with the apps, the situation was handled well by the waiter. Definitely impressed by their service.
