Really Sad, and really bad!! – We had wanted to try this place for awhile however we were greatly disappointed!!! The food tasted as if they had cooked it yesterday and then threw it on the grill to heat it up. We got the Chicken Kaboob and the Seasoned Kabob (can't recall its name)... Anyway - chicken was burnt and overcooked (hard) - Spices - 1 (1 out of 10 - Ten being the best) Did they even put spices on this thing? The seasoned beef was a little better but still had the taste of re-cooked. The rice was cold (no joke, again when did they cook this?) The only good thing was the Hummus (but I guess you can buy this at Costco). I hate to go on -- the Pita bread came in a little plastic baggie (COLD AGAIN). Don't believe us, go there and see. Most pita bread would be fresh. Wouldn't mind paying 12 bucks a plate if the food was good and a little hot (but it wasn't and hence didn't warrant a $5 buck meal).... Sorry, whoever wrote those other reviews must work there.... I have tried other Middle-Eastern food and this was Bad. The only good thing is that I won't waste my money there again.
Think I went to the wrong place... – After reading the reviews I was very excited to try this place considering the disparity of good middle eastern food. Every review said how good the place was and how tasty the food is but I am starting to wonder if they know what the food is supposed to taste like.
Started with the stuffed grape leaves. The stuffed grape leaves were so sour you cringed but not bad. The pita they brought to the table was dry and plain. The waiter who was not interested in being helpful with the menu, took our order. Everything is a la carte unless you get one of their ridiculously priced platters. Which was a mistake. Got shawarma and the kafta kabobs with the yogurt cucumber salad. The yogurt cucumber "salad" was not bad but for 6 bucks you can give me a larger portion than just a cup. The meat was dry and weakly seasoned. The shwarma was maybe 4 pieces and one kafta that had been sitting on the spit for a day too long.
Again maybe I just went on a bad night or not a single star was aligned or whatever, but the fact that I am actually taking the time to write this and warn anyone like me about this place is a testament to the how poor I thought the overall package was. If you are like me and want to look beyond the fluff from someone who knows good middle eastern cooking then so be it. If not buyer beware.
Good food but getting expensive for lunch – The food was decent but the prices are outrageous. The lunch combo that I like is now $13.00 which is too much for lunch. They should think about lowering prices a little to match other restaurants around.
Price Increases Absurd – Recently charged me three dollars more for an entree which really is a medley of appetizers; this entree was grossly overpriced to begin with. I can get the same dish in Greensboro for $6 - same quality. At Kabob Grill - $13. Who do they think they are? The restaurant at the Westin? I'll never go back again.
FANTASTIC FOOD & SERVICE!!! – I frequent the Kabob Grill often....Learning of it only 2 years ago it is now my "must go to" place to take all my friends and family. The food is not only outstanding and always fresh, but the service is wonderful.
I feel like family when I visit & have enjoyed trying a new ethnic style of food.
I cannot say it enough.
Try it you will NOT be dissapointed!
Best Ethnic Food in Charlotte – My husband & I love this place!!! We try to go once a week. If you are looking for excellent Lebonese style food, look no further!! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The owners and servers are friendly. The food is hot and service is outstanding. Everything is TOP QUALITY. We cannot say enough about how fresh their ingredients are. That's why the food is SOOO GOOOD! Best in town. We wouldn't change a thing. On Friday nights try to go before 7:30 or it will be hard to find a seat.
Veg friendly and great food! – Being a vegetarian, you're limited on places to eat with ease. Especially down south where even the veggies are cooked with meat! This place is your answer if you want a place with ethnic cuisine that can satisfy vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians alike! I hear the kabobs are amazing, but I can guarantee you that you can NOT go wrong ordering the hummous and halloum cheese wrap....>WOW!!!!! Great service, super friendly people, and Friday nights they have a belly dancer!
This is my Fav place in Charlotte! Great food and service, and the Belly Dancer is just wonderful!!!
