This place is horrible and not professional at all. I am utterly disappointed in my time and money I wasted on this place. Please do not be fooled by these reviews. Staffs are pleasant enough but services are a no no..
Jessica is a professional and listens to what you want in a cut. Great experience on all levels.
I am here crying.Today is Thanksgiving's day and I can't go out. It will be at least 4 weeks before I can have my stylist in Baton Rouge Rage Salon fix this nightmare . A stylist name Tommy C@ Paris ParkerAveda Canal Place did my hair for the first time an worst haircut in my life! I live here In In NEW ORLEANS and Ineeded a backup in an event. I had another bad experiencein Metaire but TOMMY is the worse.
Do not recommend
Three time's a charm: Jason Ashford – This is my first online review ever for a hair stylist. And it's unsolicited: Whether Paris Parker at Canal Place is on your way or out of the way, it'll be worth your while to visit JASON ASHFORD for a haircut and/or style. Jason has cut my hair 3 times -- and it's clear he's passionate about his work. He's patient, consistent and a good listener. And most important, he knows how to cut long layers so they move just right. Plus I paid only $25 for a cut that was well worth $100. Give JASON a call today. His prices may soon go up.
Fantistico! Loved it! ASK FOR JASON – My stylist rocked. Definitely have to say ask for JASON....nice guy, very professional, GREAT Talent (finally got me to cut my hair short, a year long phobia,, lol), He made me quite calm, relaxed during the whole experience. He took the time and diligence to demonstrate how the look would be and painted and excellent mental pic for me. Quite happy, no very happy, with the cut, and have been going back for the last three month. The salon it self is awesome, plus you can totally snag a glass of wine from the movie theater to take with you.
Loved it! Ask for Tommy – I highly recommend going here for a great hair cut! My appointment was with Tommy and I could not be more pleased with the results. He was friendly, professional, and very talented. I did not have a solid idea of what I wanted to do so I gave him some freedom in how to cut and style my hair and he really did an amazing job. I already booked another appointment with him!
The rest of the staff were very friendly as well. The salon is clean and inviting and the Aveda products are great (for your hair and the environment). So if you are looking for a good stylist, go ask for Tommy and enjoy!
Amazing Colorist!!!!!!!! Fantastic Salon!!!! – It was Wednesday, March 23rd and once again Garland worked his magic. Garland has been my colorist for 6 yrs and whether I'm getting highlights/lowlights or a single process my hair looks amazing!!! My current hair color is Espresso (Garland and I decided this was the best way to describe it), my hair is lush and oh so very shiny. He's also a master with the blow-dryer and round brush. He can create volume and body with my hair like you can only dream about. Today is Friday and my hair is still bouncing and swinging with every step I take. I love this location, everyone there is very friendly, they greet me by name before I reach the desk and the music is great too. Also I'm very pleased they're serving cranberry juice again.
Worst Experience Ever – I went in for a consultation for my wedding hair and to dye my hair. This was two weeks before my wedding. Melissa was my "color specialist" who I told that my hair had been highlighted several times and then dyed brown (my natural color). It had been faiding so I wanted to dye it brown again so that my roots matched my tips. She dyed my hair BLACK! My hair was sooo black that I looked like a vampire ( I have pail skin). You may not know that black is impossible to remove from hair, so she tried to remove the color by adding RED and GREEN, which did not work. So I did not have to pay for my runined hair but I did look like a dead person on my wedding day. I will never go back, what a terrible experience.
GREAT, Hair Cut!!!! – I finally decided to cut my hair after over 6months since my last hair cut. I am not orignaly from NO, and was scared to try a salon. But I booked my appointment the same day and went in with pictures of what I wanted. Jamie was the one that cut my hair and she was wonderful. My hair covered the length of my back, so it was really long. My fear has been that the sylist would just chop it all off. But after a great consultation with Jamie, and knew that I had to cut at least 4inches. I was fearful of the outcome. But it was GREAT!!!! I love the way the sytled my hair after, and am extremely pleased.
Best Hairstylist I've Ever Had – My hairstylist was Mac. I got an appointment at the last minute, and yet the people there were very accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxing, and Mac was exceptionally good at cutting and styling my hair. I told him some of the basic things I was going for, but I let him take the reins and he gave me the best haircut I've ever had: I've never received so many compliments on my hair! He even straightened my extremely curly hair without using a flat-iron (just a hairdryer-- this usually doesn't work).
If there were any drawback, it would be the price. But to be honest, it wasn't exorbitantly expensive, and you really do pay for what you get (which is exceptional service and a great finished look). When you go, definitely ask for Mac. He's the best!
