Previously had CoServ – I had CoServ for 3 years and I was paying ridiculous amounts each month! I finally moved into a place where we could pick our company we wanted to us. After I did research on rates and reviews I decided to go with Cirro. I have only had them 5 months, but I am VERY impressed with the bills I have had each month and have not one issue wtih them. My bills are actually drastically lower than I thought they would be. I have not one complaint with them and would highly recommend them - especially over Coserv!
Poor customer service. – Poor customer service, it took multiple calls and days to get a supervisor. I changed providers so they cut off my web access that day so I could not see my past usage or pay my final bill. Try Amigo Energy!
Slams their customers. – I was using Simple Power, what a wonderful company. Up front, easy to understand, simple bill.
But as anything else good in life it never lasts. They were bought out by Cirro.
Immediately they slammed me to the highest rate they could. Their bill doesn't tell you the rate at which your consuming energy. They deliberately obfuscate the rate so you can't tell you're getting gouged.
Horrible company, horribly policies. RUN don't walk from Cirro.
cirro energy – I have seen both good and bad reviews about Cirro. But decided to see for myself. And have been satisfied with them. When I got my terms of service stuff I was confused and the man who answered the phone helped me so much. They allowed me to renew on a lower rate and helped my electric bills go down by $50 a month! Great great service and nice friendly people.
Just renewed – I just renewed my commercial and residential account. I was out of contract for 2 months on what they call a "flex" plan. The "flex" rate wasn't bad because I guess the rates are low right now.
Anyways, they got me a 6.4 cent fixed rate for my business to renew for 24 months and a 10.6 cent rate for my house for 18 months.
I'm very pleased and I look forward to my lowest bills in quite a while!!!
Don't sign up – I've been with Cirro for years until recently. They have steadily increased rates saying that I didn't sign a new contract. Why sign a contract with someone taking advantage? AIso they only give you a few days to pay each month- AND they don't make it easy. They remain - unregistered with the top banks. ie - Chase and/or BofA - it takes a week to get payment to them. Cirro prefers you pay them on THEIR terms - on thier site which is inconvenient when all others can be paid from bank site. Also, my final payment was exhorbatant. Guess they don't like you to switch, but I'm loving Green Mountain and feeling better about using their cleaner energy too.
Highly Improved – I have met with the new Cirro rep and have worked out a new contract going forward. The rates are the best I have found. So I am looking forward to next years contract.
NEVER HAD A PROBLEM – I saw all of these bad reviews and had to comment. I have never had a problem with Cirro! I love their easy online bill pay option. I also like the fact that I can pay my bills with my credit card so that I am able to get airline points.
Cirro is terrible - – Attention - Cirro Energy Customers, I am also a victim of Cirro?s deceptive and illegal practice. They quote you one price and then change it with out any warning. In my case they increased my price over 150% in one month. Cirro?scontract requires them to notify you in writing 45 days in advance before making a material change to your contract. The price they are charging for electricity is a material change. If Cirro raised your rates within then intital contract term without providing you with written notification of the change you have a viable cause of action against them for breach of contract and under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Our best chance to recover is to band together and institute legal action against Cirro by filing a Consumer Collective Class Action. The lawyer will not charge you anything to represent you, he will only take a percentage of what he recovers for us. Cirro provides sercvices in Corpus Christie and other areas of South Texas which are excellent venues to bring such a suit. Beware! Cirro Engergy takes advantage of loyal customers – These people rob from the poor to make themselves rich. They take advantage by setting rules and not explaining these rules. I'm a senior on a fixed income. I live in a small apartment and rarely use the air conditioner because of money issues. I moved to Katy to be near my grandchildren. I signed up for Cirro Energy for six months and the most I paid was $75 per month. But on the 7th and 8th month I was charged $300. I was shocked! I called to find our why and was told the 6 month plan had ended. I told them I would sign up for another 6 month plan and asked if there was any way at all I could they would work with me on the $300. She talked to the owners and and they said "NO!" They would not budge. I had to borrow the money and skip paying other bills to pay the $300 bill so it would not damage my credit. Again! PLEASE BEWARE before you sign up with this company.
