This is the most ill run place I have ever been. I was scheduled for several tests and on the day I arrived, I was told that I would have to reschedule one of the tests as the Tech was on vacation. I rearranged my schedule, took off work and showed up only to be told I would have to reschedule because the Tech was on vacation! Seriously? I did reschedule for one week later. Again, rearranged my schedule to accommodate their screwup. Two hours before my appointment, I received a phone call that I would have to reschedule because they don't do that certain test on Monday and they were not sure why I was scheduled on a Monday. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?! Two major appointment screwups! I will never go back to this place and I will tell everyone I know how poorly managed this place is.
Terrible Billing/System Policies – Although this company provides good service, its billing system/policy is the worst in any industry. It has contractual agreement with my insurance under Katy Open MRI, but bills my insurance several thousand dollars under ARC Imaging as an out-of network claim. No one, including the insurance company, knows how to rectify this problem. If this is Katy Open MRI's standard practice, they are committing fraud.
No reimbursement of overpayment – When my husband had an MRI at this place, we were required to pay upfront. They filed the claim with insurance and our insurance company paid 100%, so our portion due was $0. After catching this ourselves we contacted Katy Open MRI to request the refund of the overpayment. Four months later after endless phone calls, conversations with management, and promises that the check will be mailed, we still have not received payment. At this point our only option is to take this worthless company to small claims court. We will never use Katy Open MRI again and will spread the word to everyone we know how terrible this company is. I would rate zero stars, but it wasn't an option.
Buyer Beware of Insurance Coverage – WARNING- If your insurance uses "in network coverage," confirm your insurance has a a contract with this company before doing business. The company accepts insurance cards without telling you whether they have a contract or not and when this is not the case, you could be receiving bills for 10's of thousands of dollars for procedures that may have taken 30 minutes. When in doubt, contact your insurance company before doing business with these people. I am learning the hard way on this issue and just want to warn others.
