great local place, fresh seafood off the dock – this is a local place (except in the summer when the nuts come out to rush a great meal) Go Early and from the Beach, in flip-flops or later for the glitter crew. i've done both. . .for fun. and their specials are special.

Sunwaters Grill is The Bomb! – I noticed a Review from 2006. Those individuals are probably a group that cannot be pleased. Living in the Hamptons and also being a current business owner since 1980, I know there are people who come to "The Hamptons" and no matter what you do for them, you just can't make them happy! I own a local Dry Cleaners and trust me, I know!

Here's the real DEAL!

When you arrive at Sunwaters you are first greeted by an amazing personality... Her name is Bobby. She makes sure to take care of you.

Their Specials are incredible!

Mon And Tues: Twin lobster dinner. VERY affordable.

Thurs: All you can eat Fish fry flounder, All you can eat for $9.99

Fri and Sat: Prime Rib day and if I'm correct it's $19.95.

They will give you those specials for lunch or dinner!

Their Appys are great. Their stuffed Scallops are to dye for. They have entertainment in the summer and on some Fridays during the colder months. Located right on the water on Dune Rd by the Shinnecock Canal.

Get there early during the summer months since they are packed!

You will not be disappointed!

Great seafood place great location – This place is great... anyone who says its not is completely wrong. If you like seafood they have endless choices. I have been there a few times and have never been dissatisfied. I would definitely recommend this place... it is one of my favorites!

the last review had no clue – if you read the last review that person is wacked. We are new to the area so one day we went to check things out my husband and I.Let me start with the calamari which was the best I've had( well done of course).Followed by the Martini wihich didnt stay behind in being close to perfect. The fish dinner which included a bake to perfection potato and veggies was delious. We were told to come back on Friday for 2fers and so we did.Again we had finger foods at no add'l cost(chicken wings and riblettsagain deliss)Mike the bartender made me a wedding cake martini which everyone must have.Mike maybe my new favorite person.

worst food in the Hamptons – There is a new chef that has managed to ruin this restaurant and most of it's business.

Three out of four of us had inedible meals last night. We started with a shared calamari appetiser which was the worst any of us ever ate. Three out of four meals were over cooked and inedible including a rubber chicken that you could not get the fork into, an extremely smelly mahi mahi, and an almond chrusted flounder that was mostly chrust and caused the person who ate part of it to spend the entire night running to the bathroom with food poisioning. Good thing it was inedible and mostly uneaten. The corn was extremely overcooked and my ear had partially gone band and the kitchen did not even bother to remove the spoiled part.

We overheard the couple separated from us by one empty table order a 6 pound lobster. When it arrived the four of us agreed that it was maybe 4 pounds at best. The couple complained but it fell on deaf ears. They were charged in full at a cost of $20 per pound. Our waitress made an excuse which was both rediculous and unbelievable and also an insult to everyone's intelligence.

The owners were at the bar and the waitress asked permission to bring them over to see our food first hand but they never showed up. She said that they were not interested in talking to us or seeing our awful meals first hand. We were charged in full although we were not able to eat most of our meals.

This restaurant used to have a line of people waiting for tables that went out the door. Last night the place was half empty which is possibly the only restaurant in the Hamptons that has empty tables prime time on a Saturday night in July. Word gets around fast but unfortunatly not fast enough for us.
