This is literally the WORST appliance repair service that I have ever known! I called them for 3 problems. 1- my freezer was overfreezing. 2- my refrigerator was at 55 degrees. 3- my water filter needed changing. After working on my refrigerator for almost $350 (wayyyyyy overpriced), they forgot to change the water filter. They then refused to call me back.. In the meantime, 1-my freezer is still overfreezing. 2- my refrigerator is now freezing also at 25 degrees and I can not keep any milk or vegetables in it. 3- my water filter is still not fixed. Before they got my money, they came out is 2 hours- impressive. But now 3 weeks later, they still will not come back (not now that they have my money) and they have even quit taking my phone calls.....l am not sure if the manager is a rough woman or a gay man, but she has insulted me, yelled at me, and spoken condescendingly to me on all 3 occasions, stating that I only had 1 problem the first visit and that these others are all new problems, so therefore, they are doing me a favor if they come back. Excuse me, but I have 3 degrees and do know how to count to 3 and the above adds up to 3 problems, none of which they fixed....Lastly, on top of their ineptness, their manner in which they speak to customers has led me to write the first bad review that I have ever written in my life. But that is how upset I am with this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. By the way,they told me this morning they would be here over an hour ago, they still have not shown up, and are blocking my calls.....Oh and to make insult worse, they actually told me they had different prices for different people and different neighborhoods. They told me it would be a $69 service charge and maybe $20 more for parts. It ended up being $350. I feel cheated, lied to, the service they did do, did not work, and lastly I have been insulted. They are con artists. Do not believe the person on the phone....So maybe those who gave good reviews were poor.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY – Essentially, I totally agree with JayMayes' review. I found the staff to be courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and above all HONEST. We talked with the technician, Harry, over the phone where he preliminarily diagnosed our trouble; he came out himself at the appointed time, and it was exactly what he said it would be. The price quoted was fair and the end result was not a penny more. Harry was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable and our washer has not worked as well or as quietly as it does now since we bought it! I was very satisfied with Harry and Co.!
Overpriced Service – I looked at this website for a review before calling payless appliance repair. Eventhough it was a 4-5 star review, I was disappointed with my service call. My washer was inconsistantly working. I felt like they didn't want to look at it. They just wanted the service call money. He wasn't knowledgeable about servicing the unit. He didn't even look inside the unit to see if it was something minor. He explained at first it would be around $100 for a new timer and later said it was over $200. I would not recommend this business.
Great Service ... Great Pricing ... No fear of being ripped off .... Great techs – I called Payless Appliance Repair on a Wednesday to setup a Saturday appt. to have my washer looked at after it had stopped working properly.On Saturday morning .... Mr.Henry called to confirm the appt. and to let me know that he was en route.He was very nice and figured out what the problem was in hardly no time ... He told me he would return later that day after calling to check for the parts needed to fix my washer ... he called a little later to inform me that he was on his way back to my home .... Mr.Henry arrived back with the parts and fixed my washer.The price Payless charged me was absolutely fair for services rendered .... I was very happy with my service by Payless and would call them again if the need arose.I chose Payless because I read the previous 2 reviews and didn't want to be taken for a ride ... No rip off fears or overcharging from Payless .... highly recommended
Fantastic service and honesty! – I called Saturday afternoon around 1:30 to get some advice on my washer which had stopped turning. I was told I would have a repair tech call me. Harry called be back in a little over an hour and asked where I was located. He was at my place and had my issue diagnosed within 30 minutes of calling me! Unfortunately it wasn't something that could be cheaply repaired, a dead transmission, but he was very honest about the cost and said he wouldn't recommend repair given a new machine could be purchased for nearly the same price. I was surprised to not be taken for a ride, very pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend Payless to anyone! Thanks!
Great repair work – I figured with all the companies that have been caught gouging people with poor or unnecessary repair work that I would be stuck when I called late in the afternoon with a refrigerator that wasn't cooling. I called the 373-0461 number for Payless. The technician, Ronald, was able to get to the house very quickly, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it for a very reasonable price. He was polite, friendly, and even cleaned up the kitchen floor after he had finished the repair. After having several things fixed over the years, this was the first repairman to ever care about leaving a site the way he found it. Highly recommended!
