First Class Gym – I am a middle aged woman and I have been working with a personal trainer at Take Two for 2 1/2 years. There has never been a day that I wished I didn't have to go to the gym. My trainer has a customized plan for me that is always changing to keep it interesting.
The gym is quiet and never crowded partly because the way the space is designed. The staff is made up of highly trained, friendly professionals and I have come to know and respect many of the trainers.
This location can't be beat with easy access to back street so you can avoid West End traffic and it has a big parking lot. The gym is on the 7th floor with floor to ceiling windows in three directions. It is the best view in town!
The locker rooms and showers are high end and there is a spa atmosphere. They have a sauna and a masseuse on staff. The gym equipment is first class. Someone is alway cleaning and it shows. Clients are encouraged to use clean hand stations too so I don't worry about flu germs, etc.
Overall, I would give Take Two an excellent rating.
Friendly Trainers, Clean and Affordable! – I have been working with a trainer at Takes 2 for about a year and a half and I have had tremendous success! The trainers truly care about their clients and helped me with nutrition information and holding me accountable to do my own cardio workouts when I wasn't training with them.
I also love the cleanliness of the gym and how its a place that normal people like me can go and get fit! I have gone to several other gyms in the past and it was way too crowded with bodybuilders! The fitness classes are also great too. They will kick your butt. Try this place out!
Best Personal Training In Nashville – I have been a member of Takes 2 Fitness for about 5 years now. The atmosphere and staff make it the best "gym" experience that I have ever had. It is first-class and super clean. The staff and trainers keep me motivated by helping me with my workout program. Takes 2 Fitness is a fun and friendly place - I recommend this club over any one in Nashville!
Great atmosphere for getting in shape and having fun. – This is a fantastic place to join! With 24/7 access I can go work out whenever is convenient for me, which in turn makes me go more. I tried personal training for the first time with this gym and couldn't be happier with not only my trainer, but the entire staff! It actually makes working out fun! I've not only lost weight but INCHES off of my body. I would highly recommend it to any and everyone.
Still Nashville's best kept secret – I highly recommend Takes 2 Fitness and feel it’s the best kept secret in Nashville. They now have 3 locations which makes it convenient to work out, no matter where I work or live. What I love most is the intimate atmosphere (as opposed to a crowded gym) and the friendly, knowledgeable staff. The fact that they offer one-on-one training and coach total health & wellness means a lot to me. The equipment and weight machines are state of the art and kept in excellent condition, and the locker room and shower area is always clean & spotless. Every time I work out there, it feels like I’m treating myself to something special.
talented trainers and fun gym environment... – The workout environmrent at Takes 2 could not be more fun. An hour workout session goes by in a flash. The trainers are always full of energy and the facility and locker room is always spotless. I've seen great results from the customized workout programs designed by my trainer. I've worked out at several gyms in town and Takes 2 is by far MY FAVORITE!
Cutting edge training in a friendly atmosphere – I found Takes 2 Fitness a little over a year ago. I had just turned 40 and was realizing quickly that my metabolism was not what it used to be. I had grown complacent with my workout routine and was not seeing the results I wanted. I met with David Moss and he developed a customized workout that fit my needs. I train twice a week and really look forward to my workouts. David and his team are extremely knowledgeable and they are definitely on the cutting edge of fitness. Plus, they make it fun and, for me, I like the fact that someone is holding me accountable. My workouts are now a priority. Everything else gets scheduled around them. I can’t say enough about Takes 2. Everyone is friendly and I really like the intimate atmosphere. Best of all, I have seen great results and am more fit than I was when I was 25!
NO ONE AT THE BEACH WILL KICK SAND IN MY FACE!!!!! – I never worked out much before joining Takes Two, other than a bit of jogging. When I joined four years ago, I couldn't do more than one pushup. Now I go five days a week, train with a personal trainer three days, and literally am in the greatest shape I've been in since I was about sixteen. I am 61 years old, look 51, feel 41. The concept of having a "trainer" always seemed to me to be a bit much; but it works! David Moss is an exceptionally talented and caring person and has worked with me on lower back issues until they (knock on wood) have been resolved. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. EVEN THE MUSIC IS GOOD MOST OF THE TIME.
Helps you meet your goals – I've been working out at Takes Two for the past 18 months. I started because I turned 40, was over 50 pounds overweight and had no plan to solve that problem. I had a goal of losing at least 40 pounds in 18 months, so I could go on a High Adventure Backpacking trip with my son's Boy Scout troop. My trainer at Takes Two talked to me about my goals, weighed and measured me for a baseline, and started a two day a week program during lunch. Over the next 16 months, I lost the weight needed to go on the trip, have changed my eating and lifestyle habits (workouts are now a priority) and am still losing weight at a safe healthy rate. I'm done with dieting to lose weight. Exercise and eating right (less and differently) is the way to go. My training is now in my budget, so I'm in for the long haul.
I can say definitively - there is NO WAY I could have done this on my own. Takes Two has given me a great gift. If you think you will be overweight forever (I did!!), then get up and call Takes Two. It worked for me!
Convenient, friendly, affordable – I've been a member of Takes 2 Fitness for one year now, and my experience has been excellent. The equipment is good, and the additional studio is wonderful. And of course, the view is breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and helpful, as well.
Usually, the gym is not crowded, but if you go during peak hours (morning and afternoon rush), you may have to wait to use the equipment. The most congestion occurs in the free weight area and by and on the cable machine.
They offer all the basics for a good gym--nothing fancy and no equipment you wouldn't expect. But on the other hand, the membership rates are quite reasonable. Lastly, the West End Avenue location is extremely convenient.
