1 –LEAVE THE CALCULATOR AT HOME. You won’t need it. In fact, the less math you know, the more successful the sales staff at Gerald will be! Instead, look at all the pretty cars and the sales staff do that pesky math for you. Duh!
2 –YOUR TRADE IS NOT WORTH WHAT YOU THINK. C’mon, did you really think Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds and even the letter from Gerald Nissan (telling what your car is worth) is really what your car is worth? No, that’s just the, um, it’s the old body style that nobody wants. Yea, just let Gerald Nissan do you a HUGE favor and take your ’08 gas guzzling Sentra off your hands now before you end up having to pay someone to take it later. You’re welcome.
3 – BLOCK OFF YOUR AFTERNOON. Car shopping at Gerald isn’t easy like closing on a house. There’s a whole other lot to check if you want it in red and the manager will have to approve it. Hold on. You can’t rush the Gerald experience so be patient.
4 – AN UNEDUCATED CONSUMER IS GERALD’S BEST CUSTOMER. So don’t walk in to Gerald Nissan thinking you know anything about Nissan incentives and rebates because you don’t. That was last week’s promotion. The less you know, the better.
Most car dealers are scumbags (not all). If you don’t believe me, head over to Gerald Nissan in North Aurora, IL where lies, deception, confusion, low balling trades and many more are practiced every day. If you are looking for a Nissan, forget where you bought your last car. There is no loyalty in this business. Look for high volume dealers and shop around. Be prepared to walk out of a few places and get copies of their best offer so you can use it as leverage at the next dealer. Forget ordering your car. Nissan wont do it if the car exists at another dealer within 100 miles or more. Most Nissan dealers will not transfer just one car from another dealer. After a week of searching, I found my new Nissan at M’Lady in Crystal Lake, IL. HUGE volume dealer and they beat Gerald Nissan by thousands.
