Pizza at its finest. – I usually don't eat pizza too often but with all the rave reviews I had to see what all the hype was about. Pizza Antica makes unbelievably fantastic pizza. I've never had thin-crust pizza this good. The mushroom pizza is to die for! For appetizers, I highly recommend the fried artichokes. Also, Pizza Antica officially serves the best caesar salad I have ever had. The lettuce is chilled and tastes fresh enough to have been straight from the garden. The salad isn't over dressed and the croutons bring a buttery taste to the salad, I love it. Surprisingly Pizza Antica also offers quite an impressive winelist.

The only thing I can really knock about Pizza Antica is that it's a bit expensive for Pizza. Depending on the day you come, the wait can be extremely long but is definitely worth it.

Average that shouldn't be average – I've often enjoyed dinner at Pizza Antica in the past. It has a good and lively atmosphere, and normally friendly waiters and hostesses. However, the quality of food has gone down hill in the past year. Dishes that I used to enjoy in the past seem to lack quality of ingredients and preparation. I used to enjoy the caesar salad, but recently, the lettuce has been wilted or unfresh on several occations. The pizza and pasta used to fill my mouth with flavor. Again, these days, several of the dishes seem extraordinarily bland. It just seems like this location has lost a lot of what it used to have over the past year. I used to visit this restaurant very frequently. I've stopped going now, opting for other restaurants in Santana Row that have maintained their quality.

Simply... Fabulous! – I love Pizza Antica. My parents are from out of state and everytime they visit my mother will not leave without going! She gets some pizza w/ broccoli and its always really good! The pepperoni is popular everytime. I always get the chicken ceasar piadini... mmmmm.... I wish i still lived nearby I would be there now. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing dinner- this isnt it. The food takees awhile, and its always crowded (I usually opt for lunch time!), and its a ver casual setting... but with food that good its worth it! Its the only pizza I will eat outside of Chicago!

Great PIzza – No minuses for hasty service and long waits since that is to be expected from Santana Row restaurants. The pizza is amazing. A nice, light, thin crust. The signiture pizza's are unique. The pear, Mt Tam and sweet garlic is awesome. But the crust, sauce and cheese are so good that just about any topping goes well on the pies. The starters and salads are usually good too.

Good food but kids portions at high price – I've been to Pizza Antica few times, hoping to find better portions sizes and service without an attitude(or less of it).But looks like they just don't want to change that.

For almost $9 when you order bruschetta, you expect atleast few pieces of bread with the toppings, but all you get is a single bread toast which is just otrageous.Same about gnocchi, just 5-6 pc.s for $13. I do like the quality of food but it's just not worth the prices.Agreed, we don't need to load up,but we don't want to open the fridge either after going home.

Their desserts need serious thought on quality and presentation.I expect more from a Santana Row Restaurant than what Pizza Antica offers.

Good food great service – I grew up in Italy and am quite picky in Italian food in the States, but I admit that Pizza Antica comes as close as I have seen to the real deal. This is a good thin crust pizza, crispy crust and tastey toppings. . . and with their prices, it's indeed a bargain.

To top it off, the service/management is really good. Only once I have ever had problems with the food (the spicy stewed calamari was just a bit undercook). They first made apologies and in less than 5 minutes I had another plate in front of me and when I wasn't fully satisfied with the second one either (I actually never said anything verbally the second time), having left the plate almost untouched on the side, they simply took it off the check, even if I have just boxed it to bring it home. I had both the waitress and the manager apologizing twice: a far better service and much more attention to the client?s satisfaction than I have had at Le Boulevard (SF) or Amber India (Mountain View).

decent pizza, but i've had better – The decor is fine, and the pizza was okay, but I next time I'll go across the street to the food court at the mall. The gnocchi was horrible - it LOOKED AND TASTED like tater tots with thousand island dressing. If I were to go back, I would never try the pasta here again.

Great food, nice place – I agree that the hosts do have some attitude, and they never miss a chance to put it on display. however, the food is out of th world, very affordable and the atmosphere really good. we have had several of their pizzas and dishes. their gnocchi is to die for... dont miss it if you go there. great wine list / drinks menu.

Pizza with attitude – Very good pizza. I haven't had much else here but I like their selection of pizzas and have tried most of them. The atmosphere is nice and relatively relaxed for a busy place. The service is generally good. The hosts can have a little bit of an attitude but this is Santana Row... I think that's a prerequisite. Parking is... well, this is Santana Row.

Not Worth the Wait – 1 hour and 15 minutes after being told it would be a 35 minute wait, my dining companion and I were finally seated. Although the staff was friendly, the restaurant has a rushed feel that does not create a relaxed dining experience. The minestrone-like soup was good. However when the waitress warned us that #4 pizza with portabello mushrooms and sausage had no sauce, I had no idea that what she really meant was it is a dry thin crust pizza without much in the way of toppings. Not a bad restaurant, but definitely not worth the wait and for what you do get, prices should be less.
