Run far away! One star is even too generous for these people – They ordered my dress several sizes bigger. I was a Sz 14, the sales lady convinced me to get a Sz 22 because I was bigchested. It made no sense to me but I trusted her expertise. I even mentioned to her that I was fitting a Sz 14 or 16 with most bridal gowns and she said that they are all sized differently, so dont look at the number.
I still wasn't convinced but I compromised and we ordered a size smaller Sz 20 instead of the 22 that she was suggesting. She kept insisting on the 22, she made me sign a disclaimer that I chose the 20 instead of the 22. And YES, the 20 was waaaay too big so can you imagine if I had ordered the 22 like she had suggested?
When the dress arrived, it was literally falling off of me. I could get into it without even needing to open the zip. It was THAT much bigger. The consultants make you get a bigger size so that they will make more money from the alterations. Also, those bigger sizes command a 10 to 20% extra fee so they force you into those. Buyer beware. They will tell you better too big than too small, but four whole dress sizes bigger???
After spending $$$$ on a dress, why am I going to a seamstress to have her rework my dress all over again as if it was being sewn from scratch? I was taking my dress out of the country and couldnt wait for their alterations. And who would really trust them with alterations after this, especially when their motive to rip me off was clear? Oh and pls take the time to read the reviews of their seamstress on other sites. Horrific. I found the seamstress' reviews after I ordered my dress from Bridal Reflections and I knew I wasn't letting her anywhere near my dress.
What was supposed to be an Oooh moment left me tearful and heartbroken. It was a beautiful dress and I was looking forward to fitting it and having it be almost perfect. The dress that arrived was so big it looked like a clearance bin or sample sale bargain that was too good to pass up even though it wasn't my size. :(
Every seamstress I talk to tells me I would be better off with buying a whole new dress. I hope Bridal Reflections staff read this review. They should know how awful they really are.
They lied to me. Be careful! – They sold me a dress by Christina Anthony. The sales lady lied to me that it is a new designer. Turns out that Bridal Reflections also does business as Christina Anthony. It is they themselves that knock off designer gowns under that name. I hate being lied to. And when the dress arrived, it fit poorly, was the wrong size - i.e. Several sizes too big. even with all the alterations, it just didnt fit right. I ended up having to order a whole new dress from another salon, which was 1/3 the cost of theirs with 3x the style and umph factor. Oh and this one was actually my size and it fit!
Oh, they are notorious for having their staff write positive reviews for them, so buyer beware. An ex employee who goes to the same gym as I do told me.
Excellence in service and fashion! – I was a bride featured on Platinum Weddings in 2008. My wedding like many other brides became the focus of my life for a year and a half in which a lot of planning, selection of detail and every possible moment went into putting together the perfect day. I was planning the true princess wedding at Oheka Castle. The biggest selection is how the bride will look. Bridal Reflections for my wedding out did themselves.
I want to thank Bridal Reflections from the bottom of my heart for a great experience from start to finish. The company’s professionalism was outstanding. Words truly are not enough to express how much my venture with the salon meant to me during this special time in my life. The best match was being introduced to Cristina DeMarco. She was beyond fantastic as the rest of the staff. I felt like royalty each time I phoned, visited or needed something to be done – there was not a moment’s hesitation to assist.
I used the salon to select everything possible for the wedding – headpieces, accessories, mother of the bride, grandmother, flower girl and my bridesmaids etc. There was not a section of the salon that I did not utilize and therefore, I feel it is important to say how much I put my faith into this company and would continue to do so in the future. The salon always knew how to make my visions come to life. There was no task too small – they always came through. It is important for them to know how much they have meant to me, how much they made my dream wedding come to life and have a client forever with me.
My dress was so breathtaking because of the work and details they all put into it. I felt on top of the world and did not want to get out of my dress. The fit was incredible, thank you for a job well done. They were family to me that really makes all of the difference.
Even beyond the wedding I appreciate the contact and making sure if anything is needed you are there. I wish I was getting married again so I could be at the salon as much as I was over the past year and a half. I miss them however this just means many more wonderful occasions to come together and I know I can count on Bridal Reflections to always be there, making me feel special, and finding the perfect outfit – a one of a kind to make my days a unique experience.
I need to also give a very special thank you to Lee who works behind the scenes. She was incredible for all of the special extras and creativity she instilled for the wedding – believe me we kept her working over the past year with lots of assignments and expectations for the big day. She even created a one of a kind pouchie couture dress that I will have forever for our love Lexi – our dog.
My entire family, friends, and my husband were so impressed with my experience with all of you. It was my least stressful wedding experience and that was huge with all of the planning especially since we were on Platinum Weddings – lots of specific details.
