Just Incredible – One of my favorite bars in all of New York City, conveniently and curiously located on the LIRR level of Penn Station tucked between the Arrivals/Departures Board and a McDonald's. One wouldn't expect a place in such a location to be much of an establishment but Tracks is the exception to the rule. Fantastic service, incredible food, great beer selection, and a classy, sophisticated ambience. Bartenders are both efficient as well as incredibly personable and engaging. Just a great little gem tucked away in an obscure corner of Penn Station.

Best fish and chips, best raw bar – Tracks, a really long bar with booths and tables set way in the back featuring a railroad motif due to its location in the LIRR area of Penn Sta is one on NYC's best-kept secrets for delicious fresh simple seafood, plus a reasonable variety of meat and poultry dishes ihave yet to try. The delicious fish and chips (fried battered fresh cod on a roll) accompanied by your choice of matchstick sweet potato or criss-cross white potato fries you could willingly die for plus some fresh lettuce and tomato slices for $8.95 is one of the great steals in NYC. Yes the fries are caloric and you have to limit yourself, but its my favorite lunch dish at Tracks. A pint of draft beer (Guiness dark with a creamy foam on top) is a great accompaniment. The raw bar features a nice selection of oysters from 1.85-2.25 each depending on origin. I like big briny oysters and the local LI sound variety suit me fine, but they have a range of East and West coast varieties if you prefer. Last week, my wife and I split 8 to start and she had the fried soft shell crabs on a Po-boy roll with sweet potato chips to match my f&c. Total with tip $50, a meal to remember that makes you want to go back.

Bartenders, Raw Bar, Atmosphere, Great customer service – With one of the longest bars in Manhattan, there is always room for someone new. The bartenders there are fun...and a bit cheaky. The place usually packs a big crowd after 5pm so be warned! The raw bar is always fresh and the food there is very good. This is a must see for mid-town Manhattan.

The best in Penn! – What's a nice bar/restaurant like you doing in a place like this? This is a pleasant surprise - excellent food, pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks. Make sure you check it out.

Great Stop before heading out on LIRR – Step into this place, and you will have no idea you are still in Penn Station. The raw bar is "awesome" and the bar tenders are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I always try to time my arrival to penn station to allow for at least a drink, if not a meal, at this venerable mid-town restaurant. After work, it's also a great place to meet people, after a beer or two, everyone starts talking.
