Joe Lombardo works magic!! – My husband and I both went to get our hair done by Joe and it was great! I hadn't had my hair done in a long time and it was a relaxing, enjoyable experience. My hair was everything I wanted and some, but my husbands was a whole other story. We were unsure of what to do with his hair him and i wanted two completely different things. My husband wanted to look "cool" and young. Ha. I wanted him to look professional and kept. Joe combined what we both wanted, my husband looks amazing! He and I both love it and will definitely be coming back.
Joe Lombardo knows hair – One of the things I like best about Joe is that he sits down with you and says "Let's talk" before he touches your hair. I appreciate his candor in telling you what works/ what doesn't for your hair. He convinced me to cut off my over-bleached ends and go short...best decision I've made in years! I LOVE my hair now - it's fresh, sexy, healthy...looks best touseled after a night in bed.
He's also a great educator - I've learned so much about my hair; what products work and why in the few months I've been seeing Joe. And he doesn't push products on you...one thing I abhor in a stylist! Everyone I've sent to Joe has loved what he's done with their hair...go see him. Only call before your appointment...he's a perfectionist and often runs late.
I love Joe Lombardo (what he does to my hair)! – Joe has recently moved into this beautiful salon right in the heart of downtown Orlando. Salon Elysee is at the Plaza Theater; covered parking in the garage; the salon validates parking (HUGE plus in downtown Orlando!) Joe has been doing my hair for over 15 years and I have to say that everyone I have ever sent to him has loved him as well. Not only is he talented, but I always have a good time when I see him - he's very charming and personable. You can reach Joe at 407-591-6420.
Kenny Mak has no sense of customer service – I was going to a great stylist here, thank god she moved to a new salon. Ken Mak has angered so many clients that I hear a Facebook page is starting soon for those who hate Ken Mak!
The first time I called he was rude and told me to call the stylist on her cell phone to make an appointment. One time I was unhappy with my hair color so my stylist and I arranged a time I could come back to get it fixed.
Well when I arrived Ken Mak's face was bright red and it was obvious he was angry I was coming in for more color. He told me he was going to charge $50 even though I'd already paid alot of money a couple weeks ago. I told him that was not in my budget so he said "OK $35 but no blowdry or style." I said I need to see what my color looks like...and it was cold outside I was NOT leaving with a wet head. I asked him if I could blowdry my own hair, to which he replied, "No because I pay for the electricity"!!! My stylist and I were both shocked. FINALLY he agreed she could blowdry my hair but not use any brushes!!!!!
I felt like we were on a Shear Genius hair challenge!
The whole time we were laughing at the riduclousness that is Kenny Mak. I managed to drink wine the whole time making the situation better, but with each glass Mr. Mak became more and more enraged. He kept checking how many foils she used. At one point she did use a brush on my bangs and he totally flipped out. By the time I left Kenny Mak was giving me the look of death - guaranteeing I would NEVER return to this establishment.
So if you want an all around awful hair experience visit Kenny Mak. Otherwise I suggest visiting one of the many well reviewed hair salons on yelp.
Loved the whole experience! – I was ref. to the salon from the G.B.Hotel downtown and when i went in to get my hair hi-lited i got just the best service ever. Natasha was my stylist and did the best hi-lites I have ever gotten, I live in Jacksonville and come to Orlando quite often. I will be returning to her for my hair needs as I have left my other stylist due to her amazing job. My hair felt amazing and looked awesome after the cut and blow dry. Thanks Natasha! All in all this is the type of salon everyone should go to, I loved the energy in the salon and I look forward to going back in two weeks.
kenny hair is Kenny HAIR – Kenny is always my Great hairstylist and true professional in his very Focusing artistic value. Even always the" attacks " and " jealousy " from the same industry against to the outstanding hair guy... He's still very passionate to do his work.Master Kenny .. I support you forever. Go to another higher level.
BEST PLACE EVER LOVED EVERY BIT OF MY EXPERIENCE – Natasha is my new stylist she listened to everything i wanted, was very polite and professional. She is a good listener and truly cares about her clients. You can definitely tell she knows her stuff and has been to several continuing educational classes to keep her up to date. I loved how she was so motivated to make me have a great day and experience while i was there. She is very pretty and doesn't let that go to her head. she truly cares about the end result , it is always exactly what i ask for in which it comes out way better than i ever had expected i couldn't believe it was my own hair and how much younger it looked on me . she is amazing and i have ref lots of people to her and they all say the same thing. she is truly different and down to earth and really cares about what is going on in your life. i will always go back ,i just love her and her personality she is quick and does a perfect job. SIMPLY THE BEST and I'm a VERY hard client to please. I would ref her out of everyone working in Salon Elysee.
Katee was amazing! – I was referred to Katee from a friend who loved her hair. I had gone to a stylist for a while who just wasn't understanding where I wanted to go with my hair but Katee got it right away. I would really recommend her for funky color.
Just awesome – I just want say awesome haircut and High Light in my life ! The downtown parking garage is not easy for bigger car : (
Please change the address to downtown ... not in 819 N. mills ave anymore . But the phone # is the same .
Terrible service – The hotel I stayed in recommended this salon. My sister and I made an appointment and were called numerous times to change it. When we got there we were rushed through and my sisters hair looked like she came out of a wind tunnel and he didnt even shampoo mine. Just half way curled it. Then charged us 100 dollars. When we were quoted 30. He said since he was the owner he couldnt honor that price. We had to go to the hotel and redo our hair. This was all around the worst service I have ever received and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy!
