Convenience through and through. With a freezer stocked with single serve and small plates for two, dinner is a breeze. Stuffed sole, grilled asparagus and biryani rice. Total hands on time... 5 minutes! Not your typical minute rice, they do the work for you. Fresh from the freezer and delicious.

Founder Joseph Coulombe started this L.A.-based convenience chain 34 years ago. Today, you can get exotic, prepackaged frozen foods, fresh salsas, huge portobello mushrooms, baby artichokes and heirloom tomatoes fresher--and cheaper--than at most supermarkets. Inexpensive meat, fish, coffees and teas, dozens of cheeses, grains and pastas cram the shelves. The frozen section features tasty treats, including barbecue chicken pizzas, mushroom risotto and salmon patties. Beer, wine and liquor sections are stocked with very affordable labels.

Great products, Great prices. Every day prices, the most friendly customer service and food glorious food.

Bouquets of flowers everyday for $4.99. And for $9.99 really beautiful big bouquets. A dozen roses are only $7.99. Did I mention the happiest employees on the earth?

Eggs 99 cents, Banana's always 49 cents a pound, and all of their products are preservative free and without added colors. Try their french truffles, or their ginger bread house kits, or their ginger bread with lemon curd. How about Brie? or English cheddars, or unbelievable wines at unheard of prices. You need to check them out, you will be hooked for life.
