Worst Nail Place in the world!! – I went to this place for quite a while. Then one day I came in and even though I had an appointment they were too busy to do my nails!! I told them I was going out of town the next day and she (the owner) told me "too bad go some place else" well I did and my god I was treated like a queen!
I now realize what a nail place should be like - I never saw them clean any tools and the funny thing about it is that the little machine that should be sanitizing the tools and should have a purple light I one time saw is not even plugged in! I wish the Health Department could come in and see this place, they would shut the place down.
When you come in, if there is no one there, which is half the time they are all asleep on the pedicure chairs, they should get up and clean the place up.
And please stop speaking your language instead of speaking to your customers!
Not Worth My Money! – I am new to the area and this salon is closest to my new residence. It was a Saturday on a holiday weekend so I was glad to know that I could just walk in. Unfortunately I should have walked back out.
The negatives started when I was being rushed to pick a color. The lady told me repeatedly to "pick a color and sit down". Once my pedicure began I was constantly being asked if I wanted sea salt and other extras but not once was I told that they cost extra. Even after I said no the lady told me my feet looked like they really needed it. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience to say the least.
The final straw came when I paid my bill. I had only been sitting at the dryer for a few moments when my nail tech asked if I'd like to pay. After I handed her my card she asked if I had cash! When I told her I wanted to pay with my card she walked away. She returned a few moments later and stood over my should and waited for me to determine her tip. Even when I glanced at her she continued to stand there and wait for me to write it down. So uncomfortable!!!!
The horrible business aside I also felt they did not properly clean any of their tools. I will not be going back!
NP NAILS – I do not want to hurt this business and im sad to say the following, but it is a consumer's right to know! My own personal experience was disappointing. I have several complaints about unprofessionalism with customer service, unfriendliness, the use of hygenic tools, and added costs they fail to mention. Oh, and they will point out your flaws all over your body to get you to get a wax or pedicure. I felt horrible.
After being a regular customer for months, i couldnt do it anymore. Every two weeks my service that was terrible and rude. I kept giving it another try, thinking it was just in my head. But everytime.... the ladies talk on the phone and scream in a foreign language while they do your nails. I was sick of being ignored while i sat there. I had a weird feeling everytime i went with the tools they used. I really think they used unclean tools on my hands. Note that there is NO BARBICIDE ANYWHERE in sight. They pull old tools from draws and have no system of where the dirty tools go, they just sit there or back onto the drawer. Also, they used acrylic on my nails and told me it was gel. I read on the internet Gel nails are gel, not powder, which is what they use and label in sharpie marker "GEL." Im no nail expert, but this place infuriated me. Poor communication between nail techs and customers. This is informative and NP nails should read and abide by these rules please visit the website: dora.state.co.us/barbers_ cosmetologists/news/consumer tips.pdf
Above Average Nail Salon – I chose NP Nail Salon for a girls' day out and treated my mother, daughter and myself to a pedicure, manicure and wax. Contrary to a previous review, I found this to be one of the cleanest salons that I have ever visited. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They do have hidden costs that add up your total bill, so be sure you know what you want and decline additional services when offered. All three technicians did an average job on the pedicures we received, but the $15 additional charge for sea salt is outrageous. All three technicians did an above average job on the manicures, but again, they offered other services to up the ticket price. However, I was more than pleased with the results. When I asked for an explanation for the unexpectedly high bill, the male technician very politely explained it to me without reproach. I will return next time a little more prepared to decline additional services offered. The male tech was very willing to improve anything I was not happy with ( a smudged nail, a missed lip hair, etc.) But the girls were a little too anxious to finish and move onto the next customer. This is an above average salon with above average prices. But you get what you pay for.
Terrible place to get quality nail sevices! – My acrylic nails needed a fill and the polish was chipping after the holidays! My regular nail salon had no availabilities so I stopped by NP Nails on the way home from work. I asked for a simple, quick toenail polish change and a fill. Thinking this would be 7 dollars (polish change) and 16 dollars (fill). During my polish change, the man who did my nails harassed me and attempted to pressure me into getting a full-on pedicure. I repeatedly said no, telling him I had gotten one 2 weeks before and he insisted I absolutely needed one, pointing out flaws of my feet and toenails. He did a horrible paint job and my toenails are now all uneven lengths. While he was doing my fill, he painfully ripped off 3 of my acrylic nails without my consent, using one of the tips they glue on when you get a full set. He then proceeded to tell me I needed a full set because there was "water between my natural nail and the acrylic." He tried to convince me to get a brand new full set saying that it would be only 9 dollars more expensive for the full set. After I again told him no, I only came in for a quick and cheap fill he told me I should never go to my regular nail salon again because they did a horrible job with my nails. My nails ended up extremely long (I asked for them cut down a lot, I like them very short) and very uneven. The three brand new nails he decided to give me burned and felt tight for hours afterwards. The paint job is absolutely horrendous, there is still paint all over the skin surrounding my nails and it looks like a five year old did it. Also, the man charged me 5 dollars per nail that he ripped off without my permission, charging me an astounding 31 dollars for my FILL. I was also charged 10 dollars for my polish change, rather than the 7 listed on the price list. I am left here without 41 dollars and still filing down my ugly nails! If you are looking for service and a great end result at a reasonable price, I advise you to consider looking into another salon
