Southern India. She said they had really good sweet snacks, as well as street food. I walked in there and saw their sweets display window, I instantly felt like I was in India (not like I've been there, I'm just sayin...). Anyways, they probably have 100 different types of small sized sweet snacks. It's sooooo overwhelming! So do not come here if you have no clue what Indian sweets you like. I got several sweets with coconut crust on it, and my favorite was some yellowing thingie that they put on top of the counter...Sorry, don't remember the name, so ask me if you want to go there. :)
Sukhadia's makes Indians feel at home. The food is delicious because it is full of Indian spices and makes for a great meal on a cold Chicago day/night. The prices are right for the portions served. They have a sweets section, much like in India, with a variety of sweets with origins from different states of India.
Decent place to get chaat and South Indian food/snacks. Was craving some Indian food and came here for paper masala dosa and chaat. The quality was decent and a little above average. The mango lassi was great.
thalis and snack items are worth trying for Indian vegetarian people who have lesser choices in this nation.
We chose Sukhadia for catering all the meals during all events for my daughter's wedding at Hyatt Riverfront Hotel in Jacksonville, FL. This was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We went for tasting to NJ prior to deciding on the caterer and all the items we tasted at their restaurant were excellent. Their Gujarati items are the best and the punjabi dishes are also very good. The appetizers during cocktail hour, the desert bar at the reception and the kesar Jalebi at breakfast were especially praised by everyone. We are extremely happy with their service, presentation and taste and glad we picked them to be our caterer.
LOVE the chaats at this place!
Whenever I'm on Devon street I always come here to get my fill of bhel and pani puri. Totally savor those moments! Everything is made very well, and nice and spicy, just how I like it! Definitely pop in here and try some of these amazing chaats! Don't be scared off by how weird they might look, just do it and you'll be glad you did! I have taken plenty of friends here as well who have never tried Indian street foods and they were obsessed by the end of our visit!
The sweets at Sukhadia are delicious too, my son loves the kulfis.
What can i say they have the best dosa's in whole of devon. chat's n sweets are authentic tasting. At times customer service could be slow but is understandably by the flow. staff is nice n respective, all in all best place to eat or drink (yogurt based lassi)
They have different kinds of appetizers most of them are Gujarati style. We thoroughly enjoyed and recommend it.
Great snack place, dosas and puri chole are awesome, and we also love the tea! Food quality is consistent, and always made fresh. Not sure how clean the kitchen is, but I've never gotten sick from eating there - and we're there every week-end. Also great samosas. The order giving line is slow - the same genetlemen who takes the orders is also taking care of take outs, etc. They could certainly use another cashier.
