We took a family of six children and four adults to the south county macaroni grill.
The staff was fabulous and very kind to the kids. The children are well behaved since they know they won't be going out again if not. That being said...they were treated like they were young adults and they loved it. The children ranged from 3months to 12yrs old, Two disabled I say this because the family went to The Melting Pot and were treated As though they had leprosy. The staff at the melting pot was so rude that even the kids felt uncomfortable and the parents felt ripped off. At least the macaroni Grill knows how to treat children know how to treat adults serve good food and have a great time with the kids TheFood was delicious . The boys split lobster ravioli and it was great and they were kind enough to split it for them. They even brought out a special dessert for them because they were so good we couldn't of had a better time anywhere else thank you to Jay and Nonie the manager.
Performing chefs cook up rustic, home-style Italian entrees at this buzzing family restaurant. – In Short
A boisterous, all-ages crowd of pasta lovers pack this energetic Italian spot, where chefs clad in white hats and red scarves keep diners wide-eyed by showing their moves in the busy open kitchen. The menu boasts family-sized portions of hearty traditional fare, from antipasti, chicken and pasta dishes to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizzas. Signature plates include grilled pork chops, lobster ravioli, and penne rustica with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto in cream sauce.
Good Pasta – Me and the girlfriend went for her birthday, and it was my first time there. I got the "Create Your Own Pasta", and it was delicious. The white garlic cream sauce was good stuff, and I enjoyed the service and the drink selections as well. She had a birthday dessert and was sung to in Italian which was also pretty interesting. All in all, I'd recommend it for someone looking to get off of the "The Hill" --youare able to create your own pasta at a very reasonable price and its a good atmosphere.
Bad Food – I do not recommend this restaurant, the food was bad, too much pepper too much salt, not good at all, my wife and i tried it twice and both times the food was not good not to mention other family members have tried and disliked as well, cant understand why the place is so busy all the time maybe its just a good location, the food was some of the worst i have ever had!
