No plans to go back.... – Was a first time, walk-in customer. First impression was nice ~ place was packed. Was placed in a brand new massage chair & my experience was off to a good start!.............Then, after a worker started my pedicure, she stopped and another one had to finish. She then moved me to another area (with no offer to put disposable sandles on my feet ~ I had to walk barefooted) to start my manicure, where the young woman could not concentrate on me, but was more interested in the woman that had just walked in the door. She spoke to all the workers around her (in another language) and their heads spun around to look as well. Then, she stopped working on me when another worker walked up to say it was time for my waxing. I already had cuticle cream on my nails! So I finish my eyebrow waxing (lovely & great experience with nice lady), and get back to the manicure table. Another worker sits down & brings fresh water/& puts more cream on my nails. She gets up & leaves. Really?? Another worker sits down ~ may have been the owner. She has no idea where the other 2 have left off on my nails, so she just starts where she thinks she should start. By now, I'm just as confused as my nails are on what's happening! A simple, quick mani/pedi/wax that should have taken a little over an hour ~ maybe ~ has now turned into a complete afternoon of chaos. The cost for all this chaos was $68. My plans do not include a return visit.
Pros: it's on my way home - great location
Cons: many. just read my review!
Nailtime - A Place Not to Be – The owner of this place is so rude. I don't know how she keeps it going. If you have an appointment, it doesn't matter. They are never honored. The owner, Tina, could care less if you stay or if you leave. Sometimes I feel he girls are like her slaves. I am not willing to be the brunt of her abrupt and rude manner. I will NEVER go back to Nailtime and I will inform my friends of the attitude in this place. One would think if you are the owner of an establishment one would treat the customers as if they are the "only" thing important. After all, if not for the customers, the doors would not remain open. There are hundreds of other places where they treat you with respect and appreciate your business. She acts as if she is doing you a favor by even being there. Totally unprofessional.
pedicure massage with latex gloves? UNBEARABLE – After a long tiring week at work, my feet were aching and I decided to splurge on the "deluxe" pedicure THINKING it would leave my feet feeling renewed and refreshed...WRONG!!!
This was the MOST DISSAPOINTING pedicure I have ever had! You would think paying extra for the added services would be better. Deluxe? Try Desucks!!! It was rushed, she kept gloves on during the massage that was so uncomfortable and I wanted to say something so bad but didn't...because it barely lasted long enough~ I need to be more assertive! The description of the deluxe is supposed to give you a longer massage and I have had the regular pedicure with a longer one!
When I mentioned that part all she did was argue with me and I ignored her because they have no customer service! The manager is helpless too. Might as well talk to a wall!
I hope I can find another place that will meet my needs!!!
Never go again – When I was doing my nail, a salesman showed up and started selling a store membership. The lady was busy talking with him and almost scrape my finger. She didn't care and kept talking. I could tell she wasn't even watching my hand. Sorry, I'm not going back to this salon again.
UNCLEAN SALON – I did not feel welcome at this salon. The Nail Tech was on the phone several times while working on my nails. A week later I got a fungus underneath my nail that was due to this nail salon not using sanitary tools. I DO NOT recommend this place =-(
**There is a place right across the street that is friendly and they actually assisted me in strengthening my nails. They care about their clients and their work is amazing!
Unprofessional – Beyond the fact that they're grossly overpriced for the work they do, the staff, namely the owner, is very unprofessional. The FIRST time I went I was scolded and told to bring cash to tip next time. Then they put the lovely signs up by the next time I got there. They don't want tips in anything but cash because they don't want to pay taxes on it. I went back that next time to see if maybe it was just a bad day, but I will never return. Take your money elsewhere, ladies.
DISGUSTING; FILTHY – Ever really observed the nail techs in this place? They have been reported to the TDLR and should be shut down. I stopped in this place because it appeared to be sanitary & staff appeared friendly. After visiting the salon about 5 times I had enough. They request that you walk barefoot from the pedi stations to dry the polish on your bare feet in an area with nail drying lamps. You put your bare feet under the lamp on a damp digusting rug that once used to be blue and is now black. Ever looked at the bottles of clear polish on top of the hand nail dryers? Inside the bottom of the polish there are small black particles floating. The hot parrafin wax dish you will be asked to dip your hands and feet in to the SAME dish that all the clients use which is violation of the TDLR. They are supposed to scoop the wax into individual bags and then place your hands and feet in those. Do you want to put your hands into a dish where someone else's feet were? The wax dish they use for eyebrows, face whatever has had the same wax stick since March 2008 if you ask me. How much does it cost to buy a bag of those disposable sticks? I found a pack of 100 at Sallys once for ONE DOLLAR. The staff is rude and unproffessional including the owner. Always on their cell phones and always making comments in their native language. Their pedi spa basins are digusting. Have you seen the actual cleaning product they use to clean out the basins? Do they clean the drain? I dont think Tilex disinfects or is approved by the TDLR. I have observed the nail techs eating at their stations, always on their phones and wiping their noses while working on clients. I left this place because of an infection I received & will never go back. If you want sanitation and minimal health risk - do not go here. If you want bad service & potential risk for health problems, make an appointment. But do not be upset when you have to wait 30 minutes for your own appointment.
Comfortable and friendly. – Everything is CLEAN. Tools are sterilized after each use that they put inside a machine. For those still weary, you can bring your own tools, your own anything. The environment really is beautiful. The staff is friendly, catering, and the service is always the best they can do because it gets really packed, especially during the weekend. My polish LASTS, its amazing they make it over two weeks. And I have to correct: they APPRECIATE gratuity by cash; though the sign says they no longer accept gratuity by card, they are lenient to allow it anyway if you don?t have cash or check. It?s a wonderful place.
Horrible Customer Service -- Take your $$ somewhere that respects you – I have been going to nail salons for the past 10 years and Nail Time is the worst I've ever been to in terms of customer service. For starters, (at both locations) you are greeted with signs at every station and at the register that say, "We no longer accept your gratuity in cash." Since when did it become acceptable to not only EXPECT tips but only accept them in cash? Tips should be accepted on credit cards or by cash or check -- whatever is convenient to the customer. Second, if you do go to this salon and you aren't satisfied with their work you can expect to pay full price for them to redo the set. I went in after work one night and had a full set put on, but it wasn't until I got home in better light and could see the really shoddy job the tech had done on my nails. I called the next day and told them what happened and requested that they be redone. I specifically asked if there would be a fee and was told no, but I was charged full price the next day when they were corrected. Finally, don't even bother making an appointment. Every time I have made an appointment, I have NEVER been seen at my appointment time. I have even walked in without an appointment and been asked to come back at 4:00. I came back three hours later at 4:00 and still waited another 30 minutes before being seen. While I was waiting, another customer got upset and left because he'd already waited 20 minutes past his appointment time. When he told the manager why he was leaving, she didn't seem to mind and even talked about him and his audacity to her customer after he left!! Today I made an appointment for 12:30 only to walk in and find my technician working on another customer and not even close to being finished. I waited 15 minutes before getting up and leaving. They just said, "Okay" when I said I was leaving and why. They don't care about their customers one bit and have zero respect for their customers' time. I'll never go to either location again.
Tam is the Best – This is a friendly neighborhood nails boutique. The prices are very reasonable and they have nice spa chairs for the spa pedicures. They usually can get you in even if you just ' walk-in". I went to several people before I found Tam. She is great, she takes her time and does fabulous foot and leg massages. Over all a great nail place.
