WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – The service was extremely terrible. I went there yesterday with a party of seven. Our waiter did not have anyone in her section for the first 25-30 mins we were there, then she got sat two more people right across from us. Two of my friends ordered water and it took her 30 mins to bring out their waters. I asked for the Budlight Lime beer and she brought me out a regular Bud Light with a lime on top of it. She messed up three of of seven orders simply because she wrote none of what we said down on paper. The food was extremely cold. One of my friends made a mistake and spilled her entire glass of soda on the floor and the manager came over and put that sign up that says "WET" or whatever it says and no one came over to clean it up. THE MANAGER walked past the wet spot four times, I counted, and did not once bother to clean the mess up. Mind you, the restaurant was not EVEN close to be busy so there was no excuse for how terrible that service was. Also, the waiter was taking so long to come and check on our table that we even ask the manager to put our drink orders in. It was the worst experience I have ever had. So please DO NOT EVER GO TO THE JOHNNY CARINOS ACROSS THE STREET FROM SOUTHPOINT MALL IN DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA. You will not be happy when you leave. We left our waiter absolutely nothing on a $70 dollar tab when we usually never leave less than %45 tip.

Good food, Inexperienced server – Our family of 4 dined using the 2-for 1special. What a Great special for anyone on a budget. The food & drinks were great. Our server had long, stringy hair in a ponytail- instead of writing our food request down, he just playfully toyed with the ponytail on his shoulder, a few times he reached over our food, delivered straws not in paper YUCK! We were not offered additional soup or salad after we finished (the special clearly indicates unlimited soup or salad). We purchased soft drinks for 2 and requested italian soda inwhich we thought would be part of the refills. When the bill came we ended up with over $12 for soft drinks. When it was time to pay he stood at our table waiting for payment...which is really rude!

The food, drinks and atmosphere was great just be sure you avoid this particular waiter. Wish you well with your visit

Aweful Italian – The bread here is simply tasteless which is always a good indicator for how good or bad an Italian restaurant is. Thus the pizza is mediocre. Everything else on the menu is a horrible hodge podge of Italian food and other genres. FYI I'm Italian

The worst restaurant I've ever seen – I used to LOVE this restaurant, but here more recently, I hate it, and I promise I will never return. Reason being, getting sick from the food. My husband took me there for an early Valentines celebration, and everything was fine till we got home, and I was in the bathroom for the majority of the night. The general mgr. at this location is awful. He is so insensitive, and hard as hell to understand. On top of that, the corporate office isn't much better. The girl who took my call actually worked in customer relations, so I thought she was supposed to deal with me, but then my call got turned to someone in risk management. This lady was dumber than nails. Plus she was worse than the general manager at the restaurant! I was never even told I would get any compensations, so I had asked for them. I have waited over a week. I was also told three different stories of when they were mailed out as well. I asked risk management if I could speak with her boss, and it seemed as though she didn't want me to talk to him, cause right away she had said he's busy. I call back instantly and talk to him and he was worse than her. I am really disappointed in this establishment. If I get my free meals, fine, if I don't, I don't care. I will never set foot in this establishment. What a sad existance of a company. Horrible Experience! HORRIBLE!

User review by sexyrainchick12 – Johnny's is a great place for everyone...couples, large groups, or families. The food is great, as well as the service. Portions are usually pretty large, but if it's not enough, you can always get the family size portion and split it with someone, and still have leftovers! It's not generally very crowded, except for Sundays at lunchtime. We usually go 6:30-7pm on Friday nights and are almost always seated right away. Try it for yourself, you won't regret it!

Not Worth It – We had reservations for a party of 25. Arrived on time, tables weren't ready. When we were taken to the dining area, they had arranged two tables, side by side. That meant some of us would be sitting with our backs to each other! In addition, it was VERY hot in the restaurant. We rearranged the tables ourselves & asked to see the manager. He NEVER appeared. Food was passable; felt sorry for our server. He did the best he could under unplesant circumstances. I don't think any of us will ever return.

Great Italian Eatery – If you like authenic italian food, this is where you want to be. The atmosphere is lovely, and some locations even have private boothes with curtains. There servings are very hearty, absolutely delicious. All dishes can be modified to your liking, and there chocolate cake is to die for; it's probably one of the best desserts I've had from a restaurant in this city that doesn't specialize in desserts.
