Tips for Zipango Sushi Bar
Sushi with a twist. If you're in the mood for great shushi, some creative main dishes with a Japanese flair, a good wine list, great cocktails and nice amibance, then this is the place for you. A date night here with another couple was excellent from start to finish. Ask for Bobbie...attentive service and very good recommendations. It's a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
Kenzo Return. Kenzo had not worked in zinpango for a long time. If you are sushi lover and like Kenzo you should try out Haiku restaurant at 258 Park Ave. That where he been working.
Horrible Customer Service....
After reading the reviews on this website I was extremely excited to visit this restaurant, especially since there are very few Japanese restaurants in the area. I must say I was sadly dissapointed.
The waitress treated us as if we weren't there and made as little eye contact as possible when serving us. She took forever to bring us our food and when she finally did she didn't even bother to bring us our chopsticks. The Sushi wasn't bad but not the best we've had. We wanted to order more but we felt so uncomfortable with the way the waitress was treating us that we just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. We felt the food was a bit pricey and if the service had been better we may not have cared.
Once we left we headed to the Chinese restaurant across the street and bought some Sushi from them. We vowed to never visit Zipango again and have not gone back since. Instead we now visit Sakura Tokyo on Park Ave.
Boston quality, Worcester prices. Nice ambience, good music (Cole Porter tunes), excellent sushi, good wine list, generous pours, knowledgeable and helpful wait staff, reasonable pricing, located on a fun strip, easy to park. All good. Go there!
Yum!. My husband and I are what we would call sushi conniseures. And this is some of the best sushi I've ever had! It was so good, and the service and presentation of the food was awesome! The sushi chefs really know what they're doing and the fish is so fresh. If you love sushi, don't miss out on this place! It rocks!

Kenzo is a master at the creative art of sushi. Don't bother going to Boston, because you won't find better.
However, this is not a serene Japanese restaurant. Zipango is a fun, trendy, oftentimes noisy upscale bar & grill. Reservations recommended on weekends. Fortunately, with a fabulous wine list and serious cocktails and martinis, one can relax, have a drink, and prepare to be dazzled by the food.
In addition to standard sushi offerings, Kenzo creates unique fusion-type dishes.
The menu also offers a selection of grilled meats and seafood. The steak stands up to Boston's best steakhouses in quality and preparation.
After the meal, enjoy a cup of "Saigon coffee". It's a treat of sweet iced coffee with a major caffeine kick. There is also an assortment of delectable desserts.
Zipango is best for leisurely dining with lots of chatting and laughter or a romantic celebration. Savor the experience!
