Really poor customer service !!!!
We have been to the salon before and we loved our stylist ! She was great and was very receptive to our requests. Unfortunately she moved recently to a different salon in Birmingham. We still decided to stick with the salon.
We had scheduled and confirmed an appointment for my wife's hair cut. This was imperative to be done that day as she had a job interview in 2 days. I was going to pick my wife up and bring her to the salon. As I was to leave my work a few minutes late, I asked my wife to call and let them know that she will be running a few minutes behind. The lady at the desk said that she did not think it was going to be possible to do it. I then spoke to the lady myself and told her why it is important. I told her that they should not make a big deal out of this as we have been there early the other appointments and have had to wait for half an hour to an hour. She said that there is nothing she can do. I told the lady that this is extremely unprofessional especially because sometimes delays are possible and can happen on either side. She then started saying that I was unprofessional to miss the appointment,
C'mon, gimme a break !!! We reached only 5 minutes late !!!! And they cancelled our appointment !! The stylist (Rebecca) came out and said she cannot do anything about it and all her appointments are double booked. I was very surprised with this. How can u confirm an appointment, and then crucify your customer because they are 5 minutes late. I am a physician and I see my patients even when they are 30 minutes to an hour late. I always think that if they never had to make it, they would never have come ! The fact that they tried makes me want to help them in anyway I can.
I don't think that this attitude is going to take this salon far. That desk girl needs to get some serious training in hospitality and customer service. If you cannot do the job, let someone else do it for you !
We have been pretty let down by this salon especially because
1) They confirm you and they keep the right to cancel even when it is a delay of 5 minutes. They don't feel guilty when your time is wasted !
2) They don't care what is happening in your life and what situation you are in.
3) They double book their customers. So your time is never exclusive. It's like sharing a cab. The taxi driver tries to make a buck off you as much as he or she can.
If it was not for the interview, I would have let this go. Hence you would not see an more reviews from me because I do not usually make a big deal out of it. I would have even tried to reschedule it for some other time. The fact that it doesn't make any difference to them, is what's appalling.
We are sticking with our stylist in a new salon. Why do people think that they are "exclusive".

Love This Salon. I've been going to Salon Tru for years. for cut and color. I've seen a few different stylists and everyone has done a good job. I feel their prices are good for the area, and the parking is easy. And I love all the Aveda products!

Very professional qualified stylists coupled with freindly warm support staff makes this salon my
favorite. I would higly recommend this place because you deserve to have the best !!!
NOT Recommended. I was very unimpressed with Salon Tru. Their staff is rude and totally unorganized. I had to make my last appointment almost a month in advance, and received a phone call the day of telling me that there was a mix up and that I would have to be rescheduled. When the receptionist attempted to give me a date THREE MORE weeks into the future I was not very happy. When I expressed my concerns, nothing was done to accommodate me. After speaking to a friend, I learned that she had a similar experience with this salon. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Great cut for an even better price!. I just went to Salon Tru on Saturday for a trim. I am so pleased with the cut and style Beth gave me! It's exactly the way I like my hair to be and everyone there was so nice and friendly. I'm definately a regular there now!
