POOR RICHARD AND ASHLEY FURNITURE – I went in on 12/06/2011 to pay for furniture that Richard, the sales person and I had been discussing for a few weeks. I was given the option that if I paid cash that I would recieve a 10% discount and no sales tax. When the final sale was finished and I asked to see an itemized bill, Richard, who has been very helpful through this process, would not show me the itemized bill. When they finally showed me the bill, it turned out that not only did they charge me the sales tax but they also did not give the 10% discount that was previously discussed. Rita Arnone, the SALES MANAGER, thought that she might be of some assistance. She came over to me and Richard and asked me "what is your problem"? "What is it that you dont understand about the invoice"? The manner that the SALES MANAGER introduced herself was cold and harsh. "What is my problem"? Well I will tell you what my problem is. I was given the promise that if I came to purchase my furniture with cash money that I would be given a GREAT deal, and instead I was told that if I wasn't happy with the current invoice that I could take my money elsewhere. So RIchard lost a sale because his SALES MANAGER told me that she would rather take my business somewhere else. So....Richard I am sorry that your SALES MANAGER felt that your $8000.00 sale was a waste of her time.
Poor Customer Service – Called Ashley Furniture Home Store in Bryant, AR to make a large purchase, unbeknownst to us, Wells Fargo Financial discontinued Ashley Furniture as boafide client. Because Wells Fargo cancelled Ashley Furniture's contract, my account was cancelled, which had a zero balance. Why would Ashley Furniture not inform their loyal customers of this change. Tried to use this account and found out I am no longer an account holder, AND made to feel I was at fault. If Ashely Furniture really cared about loyal customers as much as they promote, the company should have sent out a notification about such. It would be interesting to find out how many others have been surprised by this action...or should I say NON action. They have lost our business, not only because of this "oversight", but because of the way it was handled by the customer service rep that answered the phone. Would NOT have rated with 1-star had I not been prompted to rate in order to leave a review. In my opinion "negative stars"!
HORRIBLE.... HORRIBLE ....place to do business – Buyers beware.....Don't believe a word if they tell you it will take 5 to 7 days for your furniture to come in. Don't even believe the 3 weeks they tell you either. Do the Math yourself......I ordered in MAY and did not receive my furniture until JULY.. Sales person lied several times to my husband and me. Furniture didn't come in like they promised and the sales person said they would take $110.00 off the cost of my leather couch. Received my bill another LIE... it wasn't taken off. I wrote the manager in June still haven't heard a word from them as of today August 18, 2009..I called left a voice message, no one returned my call.. I finally called back in July and demanded to talk with a manager..He did absolutely nothing about all the lies my sales person told me. I didn't think things could get any worse but...... when my leather couch was delivered it already had a scuff place on it. They had to replace the back on it.. By me writing this, please read and think twice before you have to go through a horrible situation like I did. Hopefully, I can save you some time and frustration. Would not recommend this place of business at all. If the company ever comes through I will be glad to post it...But until then Please Beware of all the LIES you will be told...........
