Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain. – In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
its pricey but you get good food for that price. – they have allot of menu choices i have only had a few things from them i usally get the chicken castaleta or the chicken marsala. they are the best if you want a good meal go here.
Not Just Desserts – Cheesecake turned me off years ago with long lines, pushy servers & small, overpriced desserts. But I have to admit, the last six or seven times I've had a quality meal at a decent price, without the aggressive salesmanship. The colossal menu enables everyone in even a large party to find something tasty. I recommend the fish tacos or the vegetarian omelet, but most everything looks good - and large! Go early to avoid waits, and share a cozy dessert at the adjacent Borders instead.
Another Find – THE BEST !!! This restaraunt offers a unique ability to serve an american interpretation of a wide variety of foods from many cultures. The menu is almost a book, with more than 35 pages of food and appetizers. The portions, like the menu, are amazing. One item is more than adequate for two people.
Heavy Sighs of Confusion – I'm confused about the Cheesecake Factory. How can a popular restaurant go from good to bad so quickly. My last visit to this location featured horribly uncomfortable chairs, something called a Caesar Salad and a slice of Cheesecake that was present still frozen in the center.
The service was good and the atmosphere nice, but the food was simply appalling. My Caesar salad was a mound of Romain lettuce serviced with a small ramekin of dressing that was thick as paste. No cheese. No crotons. No egg. Just lettuce and dressing.
The capper, however, was expecting a slice of NY Style Cheesecake to brighten my meal only to bite into ice crystals in the center. Yummy.
There are much better places along the Camelback corridor to try.
