Vegetarian, love the sweet potato rolls. Faster than most other sushi places, and with a bigger vegetarian selection. Awesome happy hour twice a day, cheap bento box lunch specials
Good sushi at a great price – I'm no sushi connoisseur, but I love the sushi here. During the happy hour, the prices are great! It's the perfect location so when I'm in school I can walk right over and grab a bite with friends. The staff is always very friendly as well. Granted the food at Sushi 101 is not in league with places like RA, but the price is right for a poor college student like me! I definitely recommend it to anyone that likes sushi, but doesn't mind not going to a 5 star restaurant to get it.
used to be a fan but NOT anymore – My boyfriend and i used to go to sushi 101 often. It wasn't fabulous but it was cheap. We hadn't been in a LONG time and were REALLY disgusted with the quality of the food. I'd say the rolls were the smallest i've ever seen at a restaurant and one roll was so mushy and luke warm we could barely swallow it. I eat EVERYTHING, and i literally couldn't finish more than one bite. To top it off our bill came out to a generally cheap total but when the watiress brought back our credit card there magically was a few additional bucks added on that had nothing to do with a tip. sushi 101 went downhill FAST. don't waist your money.
just like the title says – so, this is exactly what you think a 101 class is. nothing fancy just the basics to see if you may like it. this is totally just like the name, an intro to basic "sushi." First thing that I noticed is that everything is a roll, it seems. now, you can order non-rolls, but the speicals are heavily 90% some roll. The food was fine and it was not great but not bad either. just a 101 intro to sushi. i would eat there again, but never to impress someone. it's perfect for the students. i didn't really like that the staff looked like the rest of the customers, in that they were dressed like us (slobs lol) but that they were Eating food was bad. For example, while wating for my food, some guy was walking toward me. (I was just watching him eating his lunch) and it turns out to be my food he is bringing me. (no, he was not eating off my plate, but his plage) So, that was a bit strange (ie. i thought he was a customer), but hey, it's college town and it is the "intro" 101 class to sushi. So, in conclusing. Yes, okay food. okay price. okay amount of food. ie value. I would go back, but not for the "sushi" expert. :)
Great place to go on Saturday nights – This place was very nice and casual. It would be a great place to eat before you go party. There's the bar area, then the sushi bar area, then there's the dining area. My friend and I sat at the sushi bar and the rolls were really good. We had some drinks, but not to much because this place seemed a little to nice to be getting drunk at. Anyways, if you want to go to a nice place and have a couple of drinks , eat sushi with a friend on a weekend or even your family on a weekday, this place would be great for you
check it out – This is a great place for shushi there all you can eat special is great and a good value.
The selection is good with clasic and some off the wall combo's but there great. this would be a great place to go out to and then catch the local sciene.
