The Lumberjack Breakfast is the absolute most perfect Sunday brunch food, especially if you drank like a lumberjack the night before.

This breakfast and lunch nook dishes out generously portioned egg dishes, skillets, crepes and sandwiches. – In Short
This national chain restaurant is where neighborhood types map out their morning game plans over eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy or scrambled eggs. Menu items have catchy names like the White Lightning: an omelette with diced chicken, onions, green chilies, cheese and avocado. Several dishes cater to calorie counters without compromising taste: The Mini Veggie Omelette has two eggs, tomatoes, broccoli, green peppers, onions and cheese. Salads, panini, burgers and smoothies round out the offerings.

best breakfast/lunch – The Chesapeake benedict is my favorite-$10 for two crabcake benedicts and potatoes! Perfectly poached eggs, tons of crabmeat, and a great hollandaise. Super friendly service, awesome pancakes-if you can get the white chocaolate raspberry, a seasonal special, you'll be in heaven! The blueberry is super-fluffy, too. The slick chick is awesome, too. It is a chain, but this one has been here for a long time and has tons of daily specials that make it a daily treasure. Only downer is hard to find parking, but there is valet available.

decent food, high price, poor service – I frequently dine at Le Peep for lunch. Their prices seem a little high. The atmosphere is nice. The service is poor (which unfortunately seems to be the norm in Chicago). There always seems to be a very long wait for the check. Often there is a long wait to order, and I have never received any type of apology from the server after waiting. After your food is dropped off, it is very difficult to find your server. They have good breakfast food (which you can order at lunch) and good burgers (be sure you like cheese if you get cheese). In general, the food is a bit on the greasy side.
