Lots of well-priced items to choose – We weren't expecting a lot, especially with a fairly empty restaurant on the 2nd floor of an outdoor mall, but we gave it a go anyway. The Kung Pao Shrimp wasn't very POW but still solid and the big winner of the night. Spicy-ness was not it's strong suit and even the Hot & Sour wasn't very HOT, but all the food came out piping hot and stayed that way. The Chef sent out chicken dumplings (free) that were very good, and with the mix of what we ordered, 9 dishes for 3 adults and 1 8-year old, we had way too much food to plow through. All of it was flavorful and fresh, and being a vegetarian I was tickled with the Veggie Chicken with Peas (really soy beans), which was done with a star anise sauce. The 8-year old thought the pork fried rice really rocked and ate 2/3's of it. The wait staff was efficient in getting the food out, but far slower at getting us checked out, about 20 minutes. Though the ambience is nothing to crow about, I found the food far more interesting than going to the Panda Inn or a P.F. Chang, which barely qualify as being Chinese food. Be aware that you have to think through the types of things you want to order, but when our bill came to $50, we will definitely give it another try. There's a cold veggie Duck dish I've got my eye on.
Couldn't really comment. – It's funny, 97% of restaurants that's own by people from the mainland ALWAYS have different names other than listed and always an INCORPORATED at the end. I believe this is "Green Village" if I can recall, the restaurant's okay if you really like most of your food "braised, cold and alot of pork fat" other than that, I find this restaurant and its food really not interesting. The cooking is of Shanghai descent and lacking flavor compared to Jin Jiang (a block west and thumbs up!). It was a suggestion from friends and it was a lesson no more.
