They like to remind you that the "g' is silent. Silent or not, this place has been serving up happy Seattleites one slice at a time for more than 30 years. They must be doing something right.
Great Customer Service - Free Pizza – I would highly recommend this company. I order delivery regularly and they are always on time. I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes. The pizza tastes fabulous, and it's always consistent in taste and quality. Customer service on the phone is positive and helpful. Pagliacci is a bit pricy, but well worth it. I even got a free pizza for being a "frequent flyer."
excellent – Excellent. Among the very best pizza I've had anywhere. The restaurant could be a little cleaner.
Best Pizza – It is an added bonus that when I call for delivery, they have my favorites on file. Always good service.
Dependably good – Pags has a bad rap and I have never been able to figure out why--for classic NY-style pizza, I think it might be the best in town. The seasonal primo pizzas, like one right now covered in mushrooms or one with figs and proscuitto, are really inventive and delicious. And the usual favorites--pesto primo, pepperoni, etc--are just as good. I think it's the best option for pizza delivery and a darn good product. It might not change your LIFE, but you definitely won't be disappointed.
Sweetest pizza place EVER. – I just called Pagliacci on Broadway for a pizza, and I liked the sound of their seasonal special, but then I kind of balked at the price over the phone and decided to get something cheaper. The phone clerk was really sweet and patient about my waffling between options, and when the delivery gal showed up, she informed me that the pizza was free as a thank you for being a great local customer (!). When I got it upstairs and opened it up, it was the original special we'd discussed, too. I can't get over how thoughtful and kind and unexpectedly generous that was. I just feel bad that I didn't have any cash to tip the gal with, since I had placed my order using a card. They deserve more than just a Citysearch review, but this is the best I can do for now. I was so touched (and it was delicious). And by the way, in the past, the couple times we've had problems with a pizza (like once we got one with arugula and ALL the greens were brown and slimy), they sent us a coupon for a free pizza to make up for it. I love knowing you'll get treated well and fairly like that. And I seriously still can't get over the freebie tonight. I can't rave enough here -- I'm so touched!
Overated, but tasty... – Here's the situation with Pagliacci: Overrated in taste, but highly consistant. Lets face it people, this pizza is good, but not "wow!, I need to call my friends!" It is number one for knowing what your gonna get, before you get it. However, I am not overly impressed with the pie compared to what else you can find around here, and its a little steep in price.
Best Pizza in Seattle! Bad resturant though... – I love Pagliacci Pizzas! I personally love thin crust pizzas, and I think they have one of the best thin crusts. I love their AGOG Primo Pizza. The roasted garlic is o delicious on the AGOG! They also have an excellent Paglliaccio salad. I can eat that salad every single day.
I usually get take out, but I have been to their Bellevue location twice. Both times, the service was subpar. Once I went with a big group, and the hostess won't seat us until half the party has arrived. The resturant was mostly empty that night. That really annoyed us. Also the waitress was rude, and won't serve drinks to us until our whole party has arrived. It was ridiculous.
Do take out, don't bother with the resturant
gourment pizza but really think crust – Their pizza is totally a kind of their own. Not like the average pizza hut or dominoes, this pizza is jam packed with flavor and ingredients. But crust lovers beware, this pizza is thin crust any which way you order it. I advise anyone to order the brooklyn bridge the ingredients and flavors make up for the fact that there is no actual crust. Once you have gourment pizza like this you'll never go back to pizza hut!
my favorite pizza in the world – I have loved Pagliacci since I first found my way out of the suburbs to experience the real Seattle. My favorite used to be the Pesto Primo... but then they made some chicken thing when the Seahawks were in the playoffs this year, something called the 12th fan pizza or some silliness like that. Anyway, it was incredible. I like that the pizza is reliably good. I've never bothered with the salads because I look at them and feel strongly that for that price I'd rather make a salad at home. But hell, it's HARD to make good pizza at home! I like all their pizzas, I like that they serve beer and martinellis apple juice, and that they have all the toppings free for use off to the side. I hate touching the keys for the bathrooms, and lately the staff at both the Ave location and the Broadway location has been unpredictable - I used to love the atmosphere created in part by the staff's energy. Nowadays they seem a bit annoyed with everything and each other.
Best Pizza in the NW – I fell in love with Pagliacci's upon moving to Seattle for school. Their pizza is great!! Very fun staff as well. By the slice or whole, everything is great. The addition of gelatto was wonderful. I go back whenever I can when I am up there, and have yet to find something comparable in Oregon.
