Brides Your Search is Over. I am a wedding planner and worked with this florist on 2 recent weddings and I disagree with some of the previous comments posted. The staff was always friendly and helpful and unlike other places we visited quoting $12,000 and up, they are proponents of getting the most bang for your buck while creating the vision you imagine for your wedding day. The weddings were beautiful!

TERRIBLE SERVICE-Horrible quality of flowers. We have been customers for 12 yrs. the service & quality of flowers have diminished since aly is not there full time. today I received flowers that looked as if they had come from a funeral home. UGLY--i had asked for spring flowers==I don't think purple & orange fits the bill. WhenI called to register my unhappiness, I was told there was nothing Ray would do.Well, they have lost a good customer. very shoddy service & poor quality flowers. anita fript

WORST Customer Service; Awful Flowers. I ordered an arrangement for someone's birthday. They assured me the arrangement would be delivered by a certain time. Needless to say the arrangement was delivered hours late, left with people who claimed to know the person and/or live on the same floor and never received. I called to find out what happened and was told "I" had to call "THEIR" driver to find out where the arrangement was. The employees were AWFUL! The arrangement never arrived, they could of cared less and refused to put me in contact with the owner or manager claiming they were not in and/or available. This was the WORST all around business I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY. They need to be put out of business.

Aly's Great Service for 20 plus years. I would like to respond to the poor review posted on 1 May 2007. Since opening my flower shop in Lincoln Park/Lakeview in February of 1987, I have seen many flower shops come and go. I have tried to build relationships with my clients, many of whom I feel are also friends. We kiss, we hug. I've provided flowers for the children's weddings, their grandchildren's baptisms and unfortunately, some of their parents funerals. We've laughed and cried together. But I can guaranty you that I rarely if ever drink. That is a very serious accusation. You might not like me, you might think my prices are reasonable, you might be misinformed as to the flowers seasons, as flowers should be viewed as a comodity with a supply/demand variable. From week to week, their might be a variation as to quality and quantity. Might I rarely take a drink. Not even once a month. Period. On my birthday I did celebrate with two glasses of wine. But I really do not like to drink. At age fifty-one, I can barely handle the after-effects of alcohol. I do not like to be drunk.

I HAVE BEEN HE OWNER OF THIS SHOP FOR THE PAST TWENTY YEARS!

I also feel that this anonymous reviewer who has said such horrible things about my shop that I have spent that last 20 years trying to have a good name, should be open about their identity. As the owner of the shop, if someone is unhappy with something we have done, we try to fix it. I would love to know when we were late delivering a wedding. Normally, we show up early or right on time, and bridesmaids and groomsmen have not even arrived, let alone have had their hair done and been dressed. In fact, we normally limit ourselves to only two weddings per weekend day, that way we can provide the service that many other flower shops do not. We stay to pin-on boutonnieres at the church, wait at the hotel for linens to be draped on the tables for centerpieces to be set correctly and personally decorate the cake with flowers. Contact me for info!

worst florist, very rude, drunk owner, better flowers at jewel. this florist is a the worst i have ever seen, they did my friends wedding last min, they were almost late with the flowers, they were so rude and crude, one of the managers smelled like he was drunk, i went in there to get some extra flowers for the wedding and the employees were rude. never use this florist you can find better quality at jewel for a better price. i would never recommend this place to anyone not even someone i didnt like. so mean so rude not worth it.

fresh flowers, great people. Everytime I've gone by Aly's Posey Patch I can help but buy a bunch of flowers. The ones outside always look fresh and bright. If one of the bouquets isn't what I want, they're wonderful about putting one togehter for me. They talk to us and make us feel like we've been coming there for ages. I moved to Gold Coast so I miss this place. Viva Columbia!

What A Great Find. My wedding was in May of 2006. My cousin referred me to Aly's Posey Patch. After much frustration from several consultations with other florists I found Aly's Posey Patch. My now husband and I could not believe how wonderful and kind these people were . The owner understood exactly what we were looking for and made it so much better. We feel we received excellent service and a very good value. We felt this florist wants to please you and at the same time give you a porfessional and beautiful product without ripping you off.

I will say he interjected ideas we never thought of and we were quite pleased he did. After all HE IS the florist and does this everyday. I HIGHLY recommend ALY'S POSEY PATCH. My sister will also use them for her wedding next summer 2007.
