had a new Frigidair A/C and furnace installed. There price was very good unfortunately after 1 service call for maintenance 4 months later it breaks down. Called sawyer up they were happy to send someone out, again unfortunately no one showed up! Now when i call they refuse to answer the phone or pick up and hang up immediately. I just want my A/C repaired/fixed. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

Yeah, out of business lol. They get what they deserve. They gave me the run around. I heard there were two Sawyers brothers and the idiot one was in charge of this one. He took it down! Oopsie!

Do not use this company. New unit installed last week...it started blowing our cold air now and they never installed the new thermostat that was included. Multiple attempts have been made to contact them and get a technician back out to our house and they will not return our call and or say someone is coming back but never shows up. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. This unit cost a lot of money and is not working! They also have an answering service picking up the phone almost always.

Over priced and rude – I contacted Home Depot and they sent Sawyer Heating and Air. I had contacted two other contractors about the furnace issue before Sawyer came to give me an estimate. After I heard the estimate, I knew I wasn't going to go through them. Their price was double the price of the other contractors. When I told him I was planning on replacing it in the beginning of June he said he would have to double the price he just quoted me at. I couldn't believe it. He also didn't like how I wanted to talk with my husband first about it either. He wanted an answer right then and there. That was also a red flag. He kept saying I wouldn't be able to get a better deal anywhere else, but I knew that wasn't true. He also wanted to add on $700 of extra charges. Two of them was the permit and the testing. I was told by another contractor that the permit and testing should be included in the price. The next day I had another contractor come out to give me an estimate. They were also half the price of Sawyer. The quote he gave me included the permit and testing. The furnace this contractor gave us was a Rheem. They also replaced some of my ducts and they were still cheaper than Sawyer. According to the consumer reports Rheem is one of the best. I am glad I didn't go with Sawyer and I did my shopping first.

Best Company in Modesto – My furnace wasnt working and Sawyers came out right away to check it for me. They found the problem and explained the cost of the repair along with the cost of a new unit. I ended up going with a new unit since I am not planning on moving any time soon. I was able to get the job financed and have been saving money every month on my utility bill! They arent the cheepest company around but you deffinatley get what you pay for!

What a ripoff – Tried the furnace check special. What a joke the guy they sent spent all of 5 minutes looking at the furnace and then anounced that it needed to be replaced. Mind you this furnace is only 8 years old. But this didnt stop the service guy from spending over 40 minutes trying to sell me a new unit. I thought I was trapped with a used car salesman and finally had to kick him out. I had a buddy come over and check the unit and he did find the coil above the furnace needed a cleaning (my buddy did it for the price of a beer).

I would pretty much say that I wasted my money with them. Just because a company is big and is associated with home depot doesnt mean they know what they are doing.

WORTH EVERY PENNY – I NEEDED SAME DAY SERVICE BECAUSE MY A/C WENT OUT. A GENTLEMAN CAME OUT THE SAME DAY . I WAS PLEASED WITH MY OPTIONS. I HAS SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. THEY OFFERED ME FINANCING WITH HOME DEPOT AT 0% INT FOR A YEAR AND A LIFETIME WARRANTY. THE MINUTE THE INSTALL CREW WALKED INTO MY HOME I WAS PLEASED. THEY WORE BOOTIES AND PUT THE RED CARPET DOWN TO PROTECT MY HARDWOOD FLOORS. I WAS MOST IMPRESSED BY THE FOLLOW UP AFTER. MY REBATES CAME EASLIY. THEY DID IT ALL!!!!!! I AM SET UP FOR MY SPRING AND FALL MAINT. I KNOW BY GOING WITH SAWYERS I WILL HAVE MY LIFE TIME WARRANTY!!!!! PLUS I HAVE SAVED ON MY FIRST MONTHS BILL BY 25%. I FEEL A LITTLE GREENER WITH MY GREEN IN MY POCKET. YES!!!

A little above average. Can be pricy in my opinion though. – ***PLEASE NOTE ***First 5 Postings were made on March 20. I find it hard to believe that 5 customers decided to post about Sawyers on the same day. Since the five postings, another customer complained about their service. Personally I had pretty good service. They kept their appointment time. They installed the unit as they agreed to.I can't really find anything to complain about. They rank much higher than the other guys who say they've been around for decades. Do your research before you agree to pay thousands of dollars for any AC or furnance units. Always get 3 bids before you go with one. And don't let anyone push you to buy. You make the decision that you think is best for your budget. You do want guys who know what they are doing and I believe that Sawyers is pretty good in that area.

VERY NICE & COURTEOUS – THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXCELLENT SERVICE. ALAN FANTAZIA IS THE BEST AND THE 2 INSTALLERS THAT INSTALLED THE UNIT WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. ALL OFFICE STAFF WERE KIND, POLITE & VERY HELPFUL WITH ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH ALL OF YOUR WORK.

EXCELLENT SERVICE – I wanted to drop a line to let you know about my great experience with Sawyers Heating & Air and an employee, Shawn Sebastian. I didn't have heat the day after Thanksgiving. I called your number and a very cheerful person answered the phone. wihtin 30 minutes I received a call from Shawn explaining he couldn't make it that day and would be at my house at 9:00 a.m. the next day. The next morning, I received another call from Shawn letting me know he had made an error and would be at my house as originally scheduled. He arrived promptly and was very professional and courteous. He explained and fixed the problem all the while, being very professional and pleasant. My experience with Sawyers is one of great customer service. Shawn is to be commended as an exemplary emplyee. I would happily refer others to Sawyers not only from a personal standpoint, but also through the Modesto Chamber of Commerce.
