Best Italian Restaurant in Town – I love this restaurant and highly recommended to anyone who loves italian food like I do. The food is delicious and the service is top!!!!!
Psuedo Italian – If you think this is a good Italian restaurant, get a clue and try real authentic Italian food. Let's list the negatives.
1. The food is bad. I always hear about how much they give you. Well, a big portion of bad food is just more bad food. Marinara sauce is weak and meat sauce needs something to take away the blandness.
2. It is way over crowded. I went to the Oakbrook location and we had a 7:30 reservation for four people. We got there early and still did not get to a table until well after eight. Then when we did sit down we were at the smallest table for four you have ever seen.
3. To many yuppies. You know white, middle aged, unoriginal and upper middle class. These are the same dolts who own Suv's to travel the rough terrain of Rt. 83
Best in Italian – I had the joy of dining at Maggiano's Little Italy. The food, service and ambience was just excellent! I recommend everyone to dine there if they desire fine Italian food. You will really get your money's worth.
Doesn't Get Much Better – I love the food they serve here! The "family-style" dining is great and lets you sample more than if you ordered one entree. Great atmosphere - and a nice little bakery to take home a few goodies. Just wish it were located closer to Indiana!!
No Way! – I don't love this restaurant and I'm always surprised to hear others rave about the food. I know of plenty of good places besides this one. From a business standpoint, it's classy and an alright place to take a client but I'd pick another restaurant if I were to go out for good Italian. Maggiano's isn't bad, but it's not the best.
The wait time for tables is outrageous and it's usually really crowded.
loved it!!! – The best italian food, i ate at clark st., it was outstanding, highly recommend it to anyone who likes italian food. the portions were big, but well worth it! loved it!!
Maggiano's is Excellent – I went to Maggiano's near Woodfield Mall, and the food was excellent. I had chicken parmasan w/spaghetti, and they give you enough for actually 3-4 people to eat. The service was great, and the atmosphere was quite lovely. It felt like I was at home.
OUTSTANDING OVERALL! – I've been to Italy and back a few times & I have to say that my dinner experience at Maggiano's ( at Oakbrook Terrace) was OUTSTANDING! I sat at the bar after the recommendation of the hostess and had the BEST Chicken Marsala in my LIFE... and the BEST house CHIANTI in the Midwest! I was travelling alone and the bartender, Nicole, was so warm and friendly that I'd go back again! She was generous enough to pour me a nice wine glass too once she noticed the bottle was nearly gone. The atmosphere included a lively crowd of friendly folks having a great time. Besides my bartenders great service, the piano player singing Holiday tunes made it all the more memorable. They've got their act together at this Maggiano's.
simply the best! – This is the best maggianos of them all! Elegant yet not overpriced and great italian food!
Give Me A Break! – Are you kidding? This assembly line tourist trap is one of Chicago's best Italian restaurants? It's fine for what it is -- bland and lots of tomato sauce. But with all the great and real Italian restaurants here, this is a gag to say it's one of the top ten.
