Best BBQ -Great for Families – My kids love their special kid's entrance and can't get enough of the pulled pork and the yummy fries. My daughter especially craves the green beans! We often order green beans to go so my kids can have them the next night at home! The food always comes out fast to the table and that makes a difference for our three young children! Everything is so good, we all clean our plates without the bribe of the free cookie... although that is a fun treat that we always take advantage of!
My husband and I enjoy the combo plates. We always start with the onion string appetizer. I've never found anything else like it! I love a good craft beer and Extra Billy's is one of the few places you can find it in Greater Richmond. Their Red Ale is my favorite. I also enjoy the seasonal beers!
Extra Billy's is family owned and operated. We love to support our local business owners! We are regulars and can easily recommend this as the best BBQ in town!
Best service and OUTSTANDING bbq! – I wanted to take my husband for BBQ on our date night, and it was my turn to choose the restaurant. I came to my faithful citysearch to see what had the best reviews and most ratings. Extra Billys seemed to be consistently good, so I figured we would try it. Driving up to it, my husband and I seemed VERY skeptical because its a small building, nothing impressive. We were seated, and let me tell you- we had the best waitress in the world (Janet). After we ordered, and gave us a tour of the restaurant, told us the history, and explains all the major events in town that they cater. We did not order pulled pork, and she swore it was great, so she asked the chef if we could sample some. Next thing we knew she brought out a small cup of pork for us! (for free nonetheless). My husband loved his ribs- meat fell right off the bone. He also ordered hush puppies. I dont know if the waitress did this on purpose but there was supposed to be 8, and she gave us nine. The warm bread was simple- just like dinner rolls, but whatever they did to them was great. Didn't care for the caesar dressing, but you don't go to BBQ to eat salad. Apple cobbler for dessert- best apple cobbler I had in my life, and I eat a LOT of dessert. CHEAP meal!!! We ate 4 courses each, and my husband had a Corona (only $3) and the bill was only $47! Balances out the $300 we spent at Mortons last week! I have been hearing Extra Billys is the best bbq in Richmond. Although I havent had any other richmond bbq, this was great. They even changed the TV channel to what we wanted to watch. Everything was spectacular, and I'm a picky broad!! You'l enjoy it! MAke sure and ask for Janet!
