horrible place, parents beware! – I couldnt agree more with this other person's review! I will not get too personal but I had a horrible experience there. the staff really do NOT listen to the kids but rather play the game & what I mean by that is they do these so called "group sessions" and allow the teen to carry on with their negative behavior instead of addressing the reasons behind it. they never actually help anyone & they over-look potential "serious" problems. they "assume" way too much and the staff themselves seem to be Lacking knowledge or awareness of what the "real" problems in these children's lives are! I have seen innocent parents face serious accusations from manipulating teens as well as innocent teens being blamed while lacking in merit and being labeled inaccurately causing more harm then good. this place needs experienced psychiatrists who are also parents, no text book can help alone, you need hands on experience too. alot of these "counselors" are right out of college & have a cocky "know-it-all" attitude and Im sorry, but if you want to be critical in my child's life, that simply will NOT do!

very inexperienced staff, aviod sending your children – i, myself, had attended this school when i suffered family problems. the school insisted i was the troubled one and constantly placed the blame on me for my home problems. they insisted i take responsibility for the way my home life was, never listening to me or considering the possibility that my mother was the problem. eventually the state stepped in after i went to the police about the constant abuse i had suffered and DCFS investigated and took my out of that home! fast forward to the present and i have been successfully married for 18 years and have 6 beautiful, well adjusted children. my mother on the other hand has been institutionalized and has been arrested for forging prescriptions of vicodin as well! the mansion always puts the blame on the child! they never cared about the truth, just the money they received from my school district! they made me feel completely depressed while i attended, and a former classmate of mine there had commited suicide while still a student there! the mansion ,in my opinion , doesn't help, but instead magnifies kid's problems!
