Good Sandwich Shop For Your Lunch Hour – Pret basically is a staple for the 9 - 5 office worker in Manhattan, everyone I work with grabs a sandwich from there at least once a week. The very first time I ate at a Pret was in London, this was years ago, and well before they started opening up in Manhattan. I was so excited when I started seeing these mod sandwich shops popping up all over the city. The food always seems carefully designed, and is always beautifully presented, the cashiers are fast and friendly--you can probably get in and out of a Pret within 5 minutes, which is so important on a lunch break.
My favorite sandwich of all was the tomato, brie and basil; it came on a long cylindrical baguette, and was both soft and crunchy, and tasty and filling. It seems like they’ve stopped carrying it though because the last few times I’ve been there they haven’t had it. So, I’ve switched to the grilled mozzarella Caprice sandwich that they heat up for you. It’s tasty, but it’s not nearly the same, and as a result I go there a lot let.
Cookies to die for! – I know that this seems childish and repetitive.. but seriously, they are amazing!
A Healthy Mecca in NYC – I had been enjoying their food for a while before I even realized they used organic ingredients and were additive free. Their coffee is delicous - and organic. The other thing that I noticed right away is that they have the happiest employees. They smile and greet you warmly - how refreshing.
I love Pret - it is delicious, healthy and happy!
Popular lunch spot with an all-natural approach to on-the-go meals. – In Short
A household name in its homeland England, this upscale deli has landed stateside in fast-paced business neighborhoods. What distinguishes this chain from the typical sandwich-and-salad counter is a fresh, additive-free menu that's served up just as quick. Each morning, chefs bake the baguettes, then prepare a gourmet menu of cranberry-goat cheese sandwiches and chicken-and-citrus salads, and finally display them at designated stations for easy, efficient access. Cafe tables accommodate professionals who have a bit more time.
Excellent Food! – This is the place to go for interesting, FRESH and delicious lunch time fare. The prices are the same as a regular deli sandwich, but the end product is just so much better. All the food is made freshly at the specific location and it is antibiotic and hormone free. Im not a huge health nut or anything, so that wasnt the specific draw, but it will make every other sandwich pale in comparison once youve tasted theirs. Please try and Pret, you dont be disappointed.
