Stroger Hospital it not that bad.......
I have read negitive comments about the Cook County Stroger Hospital, I want to let everyone out there its not that bad! I went in at 8am, was in line till 8:15am. but 9:30am I was on a bed in the ER, with an IV, and my nurse made me feel so comfortable, by 9:45 the Dr, came and taked to me, and was so wonderful and kind, and really seemed like she cared, she was actually happy to see me, the hospital is a learning center, and I have Neurofibromatosis, which, from what I was told they learn about it, but not all actually get to see a patient with NF. I am and would be greatful to be a learning experience. I was there till 9:30pm, but in that time, I was free from pain, able to nap, which I had not gotten a good sleep in weeks, They did a CAT scan, and before I left that night, i was set up with an apointment in a week, and felt like I was really going to get help!
The hospital is not dirty, and filled with dirty people, I thought the did an excelent job, I am very pleased, from now on I will be going there with any health problems I may have!
