Pretty nice that you can drink beer all over Chicago knowing that it was brewed right in our backyard. Goose Island is a Chicago gem.
May feel a bit suburban (thanks to the strip mall setting), bit this is a local gem. Try the seasonal draft brew or the trusty Green Line. Burgers are decent too.
The best place for constantly changing, spectacular Belgian style beer. Beers are brewed on site, and some of them never make it into a bottle. Look for the chef collaboration beers!
The first really great micro-brewery Chicago had to offer. Loved spending my time here trying all the new brews
yuckee yuc – sooooooooo
Good food, Good Beer – A friend of mine had a party there. Food and beer are good. No complaints.
Fun spot to go with friends – We have taken out of towners here a few times because it is the famous "Goose Island" and we wanted to try out the food. We were pleasently surprised! Really good appetizers and of course beer. Good for groups!
Blah – Nothing unique about this place or the food. The food and ambiance resembles any Bennigans or Applebee's. I enjoy Goose Islands brew but this poor attempt at a restaurant was disappointing to say the least. With all the great places to eat in this city why bother with something so uninspired.
Great beer, good food, fun service – I was in Chicago briefly a few weeks ago and I heard good things about Goose Island. I decided to check it out and was more than pleased. The beer... mmmm... delicious and unique (the matilda is superb) and the drinks are reasonably priced (usually a dollar per Alc. %). I had the fish tacos, which were very good, not at all what I would call "bar food". The service was lively and firendly - a nice place to whittle three hours away.
Terrible Service – If you read most of these reviews you will notice one consistent theme: the lack of service. Food is not much better. Restaurant is dirty (creepy crawlers at the bar). Beer is "craft" but not worth the $$$. Save your money and stay at home.
Beer way too $$$$ – This place has good food but it is quite pricey. The turkey burgers were good but the beer cost $7 a glass. They were small glasses too. I would recommend heading to Rock Bottom instead
Great seafood spot – I absolutely love their seafood. The shrimp are the best
Unfortunetly their customer service skills arent as good
Overall still a good place to eat
smile please – THEY DO HAVE GREAT FOOD.....Service could come with a smile though.........overall i will go back for their great wings.
