This place is a coffee lovers' heaven. An old house converted into a coffee shop serving Metropolis coffee. It's screams, "Welcome Home."
Homeless Shelter – This place is more of a shelter for college kids who can't sleep in the dorms. Maybe we caught them at a bad time but there is a definite malodorous aire to the place.
Very Cool Place – The Pig is such a cool place! The food is amazing and the baristas are very cute! It is a good place to relax, catch up with friends or read. The upstairs is like an old library and the classical music is very fitting. Keep it up Pig! This place is great. Scotty...
Cool, Cool Place – If you enjoy watching college girls drinking coffee and discussing the finer points of art, literature, politics, etc., this is your place. This place definitely has an attractive younger crowd. Most importantly though, it has excellent coffee and espresso drinks and the food is pretty good too. Best coffe shop in the city.
Where to get great COFFEE – I went because I had heard the coffee was excellent there and I was in great need of a good coffee. I have been hooked ever since that first visit! There are many reasons to recommend the Bourgeois Pig. . .But I will tell you the top two, the coffee and service. But just telling you two would do a disservice to THE FOOD! It wont disappoint whether you go for breakfast or lunch.
Great, Great Place – The Pig is amazing! It has wonderful, fresh baked goods made by the owner! The coffee is dark but does not take burnt like you know who.......great place for lunch, dinner and studying. I go early to make sure that I get a seat!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Pig!
Indie-ambience – The quintessential indie-style coffee house complete with cluttered walls, bulletin boards advertising local alterno-bands, and staff with the classic stoner appearance. Don't visit Lincoln Park without stopping by here, I stayed at Arlington House a block away and ate here every day.
Best Little Coffee Shop – I love the Pig, because like the original coffeehouses, it is born of politics and independent owners striving to please locals with charm and value instead of robotic service.
This place Rocks! – I went to DePaul for the last two years of college, and at first, the name of the place kinda freaked me out, but I went in, and I loved it! The tea is out of this world and though it can get crowded on the first floor, the upstairs is a great place to sit if you want to get away!! I also love the lattes and the sandwhiches are pretty good as well.
wonderus – The fact that the Pig is credited in the acknowledgement page of my Ph.D. disseration is praise enough. And no where has better tea.
A Dream of a Café – I wish a had a café like that in my neighborhood.
